That's correct and they didn't.

Maybe this has been brought up, and forgive me if it has. Do you think that the 2017 draft would have gone different for the Suns if Bledsoe told the McDonough that he wanted out before the draft? I kind of feel like Bledsoe screwed the Suns, and they possibly would have drafted Fox instead of Jackson.

Yes. I think about that often. McD thought he had the PG position covered.

If McD had any foresight or eye for talent, he'd have been ahead of things and traded Bledsoe to the Bucks, gotten back Brogdan, and taken Fox.

Or just traded him to Denver for #13 and taken Mitchell

I still wonder if we did try and trade Bledsoe that whole summer and never got a deal we liked. Bled got wind of it, hence him playing like garbage those first few games, leading to the pithy, infamous tweet. Then even the mediocre deals dried up, leaving us with the crappy deal we got (a common theme the last few years). Have to blame McD for how it all went down, but you can maybe see how it fell apart.

The word was that Bledsoe informed McD that he wanted to be traded in the summer, before the Suns lost Knight to the knee injury. It was a move that McD probably would have been roasted for if he took Fox with Bledsoe and Knight already on the roster, and then roasted for not taking him after Knight got hurt, Bled wanted out and Jackson didn't live up to expectations. Perhaps, part of McD's making up for that was to try to trade up for SGA, he got overruled and got Bridges and then Okobo. If both of those guys pan out, I can give him a mulligan on the Jackson pick, who most people loved. He still could end up much better than many of the picks that are looking much better than him right now, but I'm not seeing it.

There was a rumored bled for 13 and Mudiay trade. I don't know if that was Denver saying no or us saying no, but I really wanted us to make that trade. I was really high on Mitchell. Didn't expect him to be as good as he is, but I thought he'd be a steal at 13.

Wouldn't that have been nice? If only because we wouldn't have to hear about it from Utah all the time on Twitter.

Haha, seriously. I really want to like the kid, he's a great basketball player, but Utah fans make it tough. I live in Utah, so I get it extra. They can't just let Booker be good and Mitchell be good. So a little part of me wants to see Mitchell struggle, just to shut them up. Still, he's super likeable as a player and person.

It's funny, Gambo and Burns were just talking about this. This team just does not make a run to get back into the game. Not like other teams after getting down 20, they seem to be resigned to the fact that they are losing and lose heart.

also, for as much s*** as INF got for the big red F two years ago... man.
Dude's an Oracle, I never doubt the man when it comes to talent evaluation.
It seems that nearly every time if we are taking about a top 15 pick or so, he is right on the money 3 years before everyone else. When it comes to 2nd round picks, it is a complete crap shoot, even with his picks.
What can we say? His big red F was correct! And he got a lot of guff. I for one apologize!
Thank you sir.

You're very welcome. It was chillingly accurate. What's you're schedule like? The Suns have a GM opening and you have a whole forum that'll vouch for you for the job.

They just can't get over missing on Booker for Lyles.
