And what vision do we think Ishbia has for the Suns? If you think about the type of player he was and loved in coach Izzo, then you can assume he expects a lot of toughness from his players and an intense sort of old school coach. Ayton definitely doesn’t fit the bill anymore- he gave us one good playoffs and has been the same questionable player since.
But what coach and system would he value?

Michael Wilbon: "No one is throwing a parade around here because Monty Williams is gone."

Mr. Wilbon, allow me to introduce the esteemed JeremyG.

What is it with Flex and exclamation points? Is he trying to emulate Trump?

Wilbon is the same guy who said the Sunshad a deep bench. He doesn't even watch sports.

Wilbon's been tuned into the Suns. He lives in Arizona and is very close to Monty and CP. He said on PTI on Friday that he expected big changes, said DA was gonna be gone (tho he sounded more like a fan when he said it) but I got the feeling he thought Monty would be fired when he talked about the changes. I do think a lot of people in and around the org are shocked because Monty was THE guy since he's been there. It was his program, he was front and center, helped turn things around in a major way.

Yeah Stephen A is right, Ayton did play pretty horribly in game 6.

My least favorite Monty quality was his reluctance to play younger players. I won’t miss that, but I think there’s a little James Jones at work there too.

Maybe someone said this already - I've only read the last few posts.

I'm concerned about what this means for James Jones. All of Jones' best moves are guys who played for Monty previously. So is gonna have to manage and listen to his scouts now? I don't think he has it in him to be that kind of executive.

He's just keeping the lights on until Ishbia has his guy in his sights.

It'd be great to see him get hired by the Bucks, then Giannis says he wants to play here with Book and KD and we trade them DA.

I've been wondering if Jones let Book know about Monty in the exit interview and that's why Book didn't talk to the media.

I wonder if Ishbia goes for it all and tries to lure Bob Meyers and Kerr. Will never happen, but I can see him trying to give it a shot at least.

Seems like Woj and Shams have some conflicting reports. Was it Ishbia's decision or Jones? Were KD and Book "consulted" and agreed to the move or kept "in the loop" and simply told the change would be made.

There is a 0% chance that Booker and KD weren't consulted. Ishbia may be over zealous but I don't think he'd wanna alienate his 2 best players.

I heard on the Bickley & Marotta show this morning them talking about this, along with bringing in Draymond too. That would be pretty wild.
