Call me crazy but watch the Suns go after Chris Paul in the offseason.

Perhaps, looking to make a Nash 2.0 move, but I doubt Paul has any interest with winning teams also able to make an offer (Spurs already in the conversation).Uncle_Gene wrote:Call me crazy but watch the Suns go after Chris Paul in the offseason.

Yeah, I know.
But, it's the Suns. You know they'll try.

I don't expect Paul would take less money to go to a worse team. Didn't he help negotiate something in the new CBA that allows him to get a better contract with the Clippers?

As the President of the players union I think there will be some pressure on Paul to not take a discount deal.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Paul will probably play it safe, stay with the Clips and get the mammoth max. But he could also pull a Durant, sign a two year 'regular' max deal with say the Spurs, then take their absolute max while still in the tail end of his prime, which overall would mean not losing much money if any, considering that under this scenario he'd be making crazy dough well into his thirties. The Bobster wrote:As the President of the players union I think there will be some pressure on Paul to not take a discount deal.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
He literally altered the CBA so that he could stay with the Clippers for huge money. That is exactly what he will do.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I don't see "Paul to the Suns" happening from either side.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Lowry to the spurs is the interesting scenario that could happen. I'm also interested to see what Jrue Holliday does. Would love to see him go to Milwaukee.

Take off the 'l' from Paul and you might have something.Shabazz wrote:I don't see "Paul to the Suns" happening from either side.

Tyler Ulis had "minor" ankle surgery and is expected to resume BBall activities in 12 weeks. That doesn't seem minor.By my math that means he'll probably miss Summer League which is a big bummer.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Maybe they meant that he is a "minor" because he is under 21.

That's Mori, ladies and germs, and he'll be here through the weekend.
Don't forget there's a two-drink minimum and please tip your lovely waitress ...

Blanks would have been really turned off by Bill Russell, who used to throw up before every game.

No, you have to be cool as a cold hearted killer like Aaron Hernandez. This is from a dude that almost soiled himself with joy when he was able to throw crazy money at Michael Beasley.Cap wrote:Blanks would have been really turned off by Bill Russell, who used to throw up before every game.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I don't think Kawhi would turn into the player he is playing for the Suns...
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I tend to agree with you. The Suns don't have the best shooting coach in the NBA, and don't have the same cultural foundation set up, especially back then.Furlanfufi wrote:I don't think Kawhi would turn into the player he is playing for the Suns...
