Homer question: IF Baynes keeps up this type of efficiency, AND the Suns keep winning, could Baynes be an All-Star this year?

Jokic is fat
He’s also good at basketball. He’s clearly the best player on a top 5 team in the west. He’s an all-star. You’re gonna give the nod to significantly lesser players because they are skinny?

He’s obviously behind KAT and Jokic, and check out what Montrezl Harris is doing this season (20.4 ppg on .676 FG%). No room for Baynes at Center.

I think minutes will be the problem, especially when Ayton returns. He’s averaging under 25 a game. Really hard to see him getting in, even if he keeps up his pace. West is way too deep.

If we saw a couple front court injuries and Baynes maintains his 16/6/3 numbers with 70+ TS% and the suns are a top 5 team in the west? Maybe, but I’d put the chances of that at less than 5%.

Think Rubio actually might have a easier path. Though very unlikely there as well.

What's Harrell's 3 point percentage? It's easy to have a high FG% when all your shots are dunks and layups.

The Lakers will have 2 all-stars. The Clippers and Rockets might, too. No other team in the west even has a shot at 2 all-stars.

East - Giannis Antetokoumpo, MIL; Pascal Siakam, TOR; Joel Embiid, PHI; Kyrie Irving, BRK; Malcolm Brogdon, IND
West - LeBron James, LAL; Luka Doncic, DAL; Anthony Davis, LAL; Damian Lillard, POR; James Harden, HOU

Jazz might have a shot

He doesn’t shoot 3’s...but shooting 68% is not easy, regardless. He’s not Rudy Gobert/Tyson Chandler. He’s an actual offensive option in the post.

Baynes will not be a All-Star this year. BUT! You can bet your Plumbus that he will be the 3PT contest along with Booker too.

He's not playing at an all-star level this season.

Ayton is 1/3rd of the way through his suspension. Even if we just play .500 ball over the remaining suspension games, we should be 14-12 or 15-11 when he returns. Primed for a legit playoff run. With the way we’ve been playing though, 16/17 wins is very obtainable. This is a great team that seems to be exceeding even our most optimistic posters expectations. It’s gonna be a fun year!
I hope so. Does anyone else have the feeling in the back of their mind that something is going to happen to derail this run that we're on? A Booker injury or perhaps another Instagram model's baby? Maybe Rubio gets fed up with the Scottsdale nightlife and elopes with a sugar mama to Barcelona?

My one concern is Ayton getting worked back in and us not playing as well as when Baynes is out there. I don't think it'll be a major issue but it'd be an interesting situation.

Yes, but only just a little bit in the back of my mind. I've got more confidence in this team than I've had in a Suns team since Gentry was the coach.

How rich does one have to be to be a sugar mama to a guy with a $17 million annual salary?

My biggest concern would be that the players we have that have made improvements regress to the mean and we’re not as good as we think we are.

A very Sunsfansian way of thinking. I get it.

My hope is that we've already been dealt our annual gut punch with the Ayton suspension.

Yeah, hopefully got it out of the way early.
