Deandre Ayton asked a reporter if she needed to know how to spell "DOMINAYTON."
I kinda wish he’d just shut up and play.

Let your game do the talking. If you’re so tickled by “DOMINAYTON” that you can’t bear the idea of it not getting out there, have one of your teammates say it to a reporter instead of doing it yourself.
Right? I like the canned, boring responses athletes give. No need to be a youthful 21 year old with a personality.
There nothing worse than an athlete pretending to be a human being by making a joke.

I am fine with it if he was joking. Not sure he was. But I do wish he would dominate for more than one game in a week before he starts trademarking that.

Last 10 games:
Minutes: 33.5 | FG%: 54% | FT%: 83.3% | Rebounds: 11.9 | Assists: 1.6 | Blocks: 1.4 | Steals: 1.0 | Points: 19.6

Not bad.

I don't really care what he says to reporters after the game, so long as he plays well and keeps working hard. His recent play has overall been really encouraging.

Maybe if he says it enough, he'll really believe it and start playing like it.

Better than not bad. Pretty darn good. Had some bad games in there, but it is really encouraging. We really could have used that during the 30 games he missed this year. Might be competing for home court advantage.

We're 9-8 when Ayton plays. 9-6 when Ayton, Booker and Rubio all play.

Monty said that he changed the starting lineup to match Dallas' roster, but I think we should go with that group the rest of the way, barring a trade.

Agreed.
And I can't think of a realistic trade that would make me want to bump one of those guys from the starting line up. I don't see us doing a big move.

Some of y'all act like the Suns are in a 13 game losing streak.

I think it feels like this team is better than their record indicates, and so we might be impatient in trying to figure out what’s wrong. It’s like an over-enthusiastic parent trying to teach their child how to ride a bike for the first time.

It's really not complicated. The Suns were slightly above .500 when Baynes got injured. They have been slightly above .500 since Ayton came back. They area a .500ish team when mostly healthy and a pretty bad team with multiple key pieces can't play.

Also - I genuinely hope none of y'all are as negative with your kids as you are with this team.

I do usually blame my kids for the loss and beat them appropriately, but it's all in love. They know I beat them because I love them.

That's just good parenting. I was talking about posters who use advanced stats. You better not be teaching your kids THAT.

PIPM, VORP & DBPM are four letter words in my house and they better not even think about saying them without expecting repercussions and good backhand.

I beat my kids up every day. I get up at 7; they don't get up till 8.
