Jevon for Shamet was low key one of the worst trades in suns history.

Not as bad as Bogie for Chriss or Thunder Dan for Hot Rod, but definitely top 5.

+1 on Stanley Johnson. Wonder if this means we think Craig could be gone but I’d have no problems with having both on the roster.

I was thinking if there was a guy Johnson could replace it'd be Craig. I think Craig is better offensively but we may be covering ourselves in case he leaves or if Vogel just wants a guy who's played for him over Craig.

Different kinds of players. Craig is more of a traditional SF with length. Johnson is beefier. Would be a perfect 10th man in the rotation.

He's a guy I could see re-signing in NY if they'll have him. He's made his money, I think he likes being around a team even if he's not playing and he's comfortable with Thibs and being at the end of the bench there. Doesn't seem like he's the type to jump from team to team looking for playing time or a ring.

Yeah, we need a bench we can depend on to be healthy and productive. He sadly fails on both counts now.

He shot 45% on limited attempts last year for San Antonio. He did play under Vogel in LA by the way.
Seems likely that he's been selected to participate in the workout for that reason. Vogel is going to want to fill out the roster with players he trusts.
I wouldn't go that far.

And I think Stanley Johnson has had a cup of coffee with the Suns before.

I think the time he spent with San Antonio last year was his best stint in the NBA.

Exactly. I don't think he makes Craig expendable.

I've always liked Alize Johnson. Would be nice to see him be part of this workout.

I would absolute love to get Jevon back. I guess my only concern with him besides the fact he’ll at least get a Bruce Brown deal from someone is that he’s an undersized 2 guard and we have plenty of those on the roster. But he can replace 80% of Okogie’s defense and bring more shooting on the offensive end.

Don’t mind a little Stanley Johnson but I don’t want to replace Craig.

There's no little with Stanley Johnson.

Completely agree with those who would like Jevon back, but I think he will get more than we can offer. He has been good for the Bucks.

Jevon Carter isn't going to sign for the minimum.
