I think the most likely outcome is that he's waived and then re-signed to a more team-friendly deal.
How does that work? We're still obligated to pay him at least 15 mil, right?
15.8 million plus vet min(basically 2 million) so his cap number would be 17.8 million(ish)
Can't we do something to stretch him time wise and knock that number down?

Right, I read that part. Can't stretch it and keep him.

I think the trade with Charlotte would be for Mark Williams, Hayward and draft compensation, maybe their 27th pick and a future pick for Ayton.

I think Mark Williams is exactly the player we need.

That's seemed like a fairly realistic trade for a while now. Funny thing is, I wanted the Suns to get Williams in the draft last summer and let Ayton go in a sign and trade. His skillset and size remind me a lot of Ayton when he came into the league.

I’d rather Rozier than Hayward.

I'd probably lean Rozier as well, but could be swayed depending on the other parts of a deal.

I know we’d all love Mark Williams, but if we do trade with Charlotte, Nick Richards is pretty good too.

I think someone mentioned that Nick Richards isn’t eligible to be traded this summer(I didn’t verify that though, so I’m not sure it’s true)

Maybe.. OTOH, if they view both as relatively equal, it would be more financially prudent to invest in Richards.
