Doncic did this in a WIN against a playoff team in the Timberwolves which beat the Nuggets to get the 8th seed while the Nuggets got the 9th seed last year.

And of course Ayton “played” against the Nuggets tonight as well...

Hope Rondo/Ingram both miss the game vs the Suns.

To be fair though, Wolves without Butler are not a playoff team.

I don't know why our loss bugged me so much but I went straight to bed and missed the drama.
Ingram really looked like it was a "I'm so sick of your antics every year" shove to Harden as there was nothing much in that play itself. Like others said Rondo and CP3 finally going at it isn't too surprising but how about this....

I didn't see the game, but how did Doncic post so many negative stats? I didn't even know it was possible to score "minus sixteen" points.

Aside from the Suns doing well, one of the NBA things that would make me happiest this year would be if Lebron's Lakers were bad. My dream would be for them to miss the playoffs, but that's probably too far. Let's wish for a bad playoff seed and a first-round exit.

Has there been a player with a better NBA debut than MCW?
By GmSc, no, and it’s not even close to being close to being close.

DA cracks the Top 10! 8-)

Doncic chimes in at #1367.

Let’s look at Game #2: http://bkref.com/tiny/KNVwS

Doncic at #38, Ayton at #1617.

Are we really going to do this for the entire season? For their whole careers?! So Ayton and Doncic are 1-1.

Maybe a dedicated thread for those unable to let go and enjoy the present.

“Ayton vs Doncic at nauseum”

What a sneaky devil too. He does it as he turns his head toward the bench making it nearly imperceptible to the naked eye. Good thing we have video from many angles and slo mo. Turns out it was a no-look spit. Masterful.

Good. I wish it was a big fat loogie. There’s not a number of times one can spit on Chris Paul’s face that would be deemed too many.

Not unless you want to. I had some fun with the rankings of their debuts, so it seemed appropriate to add balance when their second games had the opposite results. I’m not sure why you’d extrapolate from that to “do this for the entire season.”

As is my habit with statistical quirks like this, I’ll keep doing it if the results remain interesting, but usually they don’t, so don’t worry about it. If Ayton’s back near the top of the leader board with his third game, I probably will mention it, so if you don’t like it, root against that happening.

For the record, I wasn't thinking of you personally even though I responded to your post. But I can see the board not letting it go and keeping a count. Unfortunately, these guys will probably be tied forever as our top two choices with our first ever #1 overall pick. If I'm being perfectly honest, I am interested in how Doncic is performing in the league too. However, I think we should let it go as to who we should have picked since it's a done deal and Ayton is ours. But it isn't this board's way to let things go as we all know. :P

Ingram out for 4 games, and Rondo out for 3. Both will miss the game against the Suns.

Len lays down 16 points, 11 boards, 4 blocks, and 4 assists on the Cavaliers.
