Payne continues his hot shooting, 3-5 on 3s and 15 points total. What a nice find he's been.

Cam Johnson was only 2-9 on 3-point shooting but had 12 big rebounds to go along with 14 points.

Book had 20 points and 10 assists despite playing only 29 minutes due to foul trouble.

We had a Saric sighting: 16 points including 7/8 on FTs, with 8 rebounds.

Ayton 23 points on 11-18 shooting, 10 boards, and 4 blocks. I often find myself feeling like Ayton has a big impact when he's out there, regardless of the eventual stats.

TJ Warren held to 16 points on 7-20 shooting. Brogdon had a nice game with 25 points and 4-7 3pt shooting.

After this win, here are your updated Western Conference standings. We've jumped up to 10th place and just 1 game out of 9th!

# TEAM RECORD GAMES_BACK
8 MEM 32-37 -
9 POR 31-38 1
10 PHX 30-39 2
11 SAS 29-38 2
12 SAC 29-39 2.5
13 NOP 29-39 2.5

Portland also plays the Nuggets later today, and if they lose, that would put us 0.5 games closer to our big goal.

That shouldn't have been that close anyway but the bench really came thru. Booker put the nail in the coffin for us but where would we be without Cam Payne???

As Mori stated my boy was only 2/9 from deep missing some clear looks but this is why I been saying I'm encouraged by how he's developing
Great rebounding work , love his transition and his half court cutting is very sharp
As EJ says once he starts trusting his athleticism on the dribble drives and going at defenders that will be cool to see

The best part about these 5 am start times is that I'm in the best mood possible before going to work thanks to the Suns wins.

Book getting those 5 fouls was a blessing in disguise because it helped keep his minutes down. Only played 30 minutes tonight. Cam played 37 while Mikal and Ayton played 35. These guys are logging heavy minutes. Only a matter of time before they hit the wall. That's where Oubre and Baynes would be so helpful in terms of depth.

I'm not exactly sure what the benefit is other than saving money if they decided to cut him later, which is looking less and less likely by the game.

Sounds like the Suns were performing some Cam Payne finance reform!
