Book with a nice pass to Frank under the basket who caught the ball with two hands and put it right into the basket.
Ayton could learn from that.

I have Steven Hunter flashbacks every time Ayton mishandles a pass or rebound.

You guys covered most of what I saw in the game, but I did want to point out that Carter went 1-1 and that one make looked pure. With Payne and Johnson and Ayton all playing poorly, I would have liked to see Carter get a couple more shots.

But that's an extremely minor complaint compared to what you all have already observed about Ayton. An off-game is one thing. Not having an alpha mentality in one thing. But today he looked like he was just waiting for the game to end. He's so disconnected at times that EJ doesn't even bother offering constructive criticism on the broadcast.

I wonder if there is something else going on or if he is just mentally out of whack with missing his COVID test.

Ok here we go again

Yes Rest is in our favour again but I actually think more of the Sixers reserves than OKC as all of these guys have started in some capacity in their careers and had decent moments. Even someone like Korkmaz who has done his thing in int'l tourneys should be respected but anyways that's the end of any praise I would be giving today

Let's handle business , Come on guys !
This might have been the post of the game. The 76ers have some bench guys who are just as good as some of our starters. Credit to them for making us play through the whole 48 on a back-to-back.

Are we keeping count of how many passes to Ayton he mishandles or isn’t ready for? I’ve counted 5 so far and I haven’t finished watching the 1st quarter.
Indy had a tally going.
I got to 8
Most of them in the first quarter. WAKE UP, AYTON!!!

I don't know what it was today but I think this was probably his worst game as a pro. He was not there mentally at all. Couldn't catch the ball, wasn't looking for passes from Book off PnR even when Book was blatantly looking for him and looking to set him up. Interior D was hardly there. Maybe fatigue or burnout, I don't know. Frustrating to no end.

Keep the streak going! Booker playing like a legend. Love the look he has when he wants to take over a game.

I’m out on Ayton. Officially. He’s a joke. Kid does nothing but hurt this team both on and off the court. Kyle OQuinn getting jump balls over him. Then he goes 1 point from having a triple double. Retire and go play video games. Stop wasting everyone’s time.

We have to give Ayton more time. I listened to the Woj pod. Ayton didn't start getting serious about basketball until this year under Monty's tutelage. I shit you not.

He had a handful of serious games where it appeared the lights were on. They are definitely back off. I don’t want any part of a guy who, as a top pick, doesn’t appear to really like or understand the game at the End of his second season. Sell high.

Which just tells me that he doesn't really love the game and therefore doesn't have the desire to be great.

He likes being #1 and getting a lot of money. I still remember a huge red flag after he was drafted where he marveled about what it would take to get that next big contract. He hadn't even played a game yet and he was talking about possible future earnings.
