I didn't enjoy the game at all. The better team won. The Suns have a ways to go...

Carter has been pretty brutal out there.
Not a point guard, but plays the position because he's short.
I feel like, if he is going to play, he has to share the backcourt with another point guard. For example, run him with Jerome, but have Jerome be the primary ball-handler/facilitator.

Trade Idea (probably crazy)
KAT for...
Tyler Johnson (exp. contract)
Cam Johnson or Mikhail maybe?
Our 2020 first round, the Bucks first round, 2020 second round and 2022 first and second rounder?

Just a thought...the idea of KAT + Devin + Ayton sounds interesting...
VT
You're not getting KAT without giving up Ayton. End of story.

Cam Johnson made three really great plays in the fast break game tonight, grabbing the rebound and advancing it to Mikal Bridges for a score. Looks like they are developing some good chemistry.

Bridges had some great finishes tonight too.

I stopped and checked the final acore at half time since the 2nd qtr defense was that bad. This team seems to think they have a 2nd gear but they don’t. They hawks are not a good team and they soundly beat us but simply running a pnr and giving a shit about rebounding.

I expect they will start ayton next game.

Just really really shitty defense.

Total momentum killing loss

Hawks don’t have a great front court and were without Len yet they domanite us inside

Fuck you suns

I'm not mad at Oubre. Two great games followed by a stinker, that's who he is as a player. It's James Jones' fault for expecting him to be the second best perimeter player on the roster.
True

I was somewhat encouraged by those two as well. Some small signs but good ones for both of them.

I know Baynes has been bad but I do wonder how much what is currently happening in Australia is affecting him. This has to be rough.
I’m Australian. I believe his relatives are in NZ or in large cities. He’s doing what he can to help. I would think it wouldn’t have much impact on his play.

Baynes is a pro. I suspect that he is not physically healthy.
I think the World Cup and his heavy minutes early in the season is catching up with him

Give aytons fresh legs a run while refuels

I wonder if Devin Booker yelled at himself in the locker room after being ejected.

You know, being a leader and all.....

How are you doing? Are you still in Australian or are you in the states?

Oubre has been our second best player all season and has had way more "on" games than "off." Last night's game was a rare one in which he didn't positively contribute. It is false to say that he is "trash" every other game.

The Oubre hate is hilarious to me.

We're playing for 2s while other teams are playing for 3s. Teams figured out the offense and are running our guys off the line, and we're not exactly stacked with dribble penetration guys to begin with. We're 7th in the league in 3pt attempts, 26th in 3pt%. Trae was pulling from 3 on the break, Devin was driving in for layups. I'm not saying he should start jacking, but he's hardly even looking for 3s. He's the guy who should be taking 8 a game. Instead he's 63rd in the league in 3pt attempts. Less 3s in pregame, more 3s in actual games.

I like the team/spread offense a bit more with the 2nd unit and like the idea of Bridges, Cam and Oubre bringing defense, length and athleticism but they need a facilitator with that group and an athletic defensive big.

I'm overall a huge fan of Oubre. I was just noting that he had a pretty bad night last night.

Completely agree. It's more like 6-7 good games per dud. But last night was the dud. I'm team Oubre.

When Oubre has a bad game it's really bad though.

Considering that he only cost us half a season of Ariza, we have to be really pleased with the trade that brought him here.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. When he's bad, he's real bad. More reaching than normal on D. We'll have to monitor his ups and downs now that he's been linked to Kendall Jenner. That whole family is quite a distraction. Hopefully Kelly can still focus on basketball.

The bigger problem has been Monty's lack of adjustments from game to game. Or should I say adjustments that haven't really worked.

Also, James Jones should see what kind of team this is by now. Tyler, Carter, Jerome, Diallo are 4 guys who do nothing for this team. Saric is slowly approaching that list. Frank is hurt but has been overall a net negative. Harper and Lecque are in the G League. Jerome gets a pass, Harper and Lecque are 2 way deals. We just have too many roster spots tied up in players who do nothing for this team. This needs to change ASAP.

Harper and Owens are on two-way deals. Lecque is on a standard contract.

When he’s bad, it’s apparent early. He should get pulled.
