So far in the preseason, Ayton is fifth in the league in scoring (21.3), fourth in rebounding (12.7), and tied for first in blocks (3.0).

Also on the leader boards: JJ is third in turnovers (5.0) and fifth in fouls (5.3).

I was surprised to see Ayton with a 26% usage rate, feels much lower than that. Embiid is at 37% for the preseason.

Wow...looking things over...Ayton awesome...Booker, please get back asap...and...

FFS...do we need a PG.

I can't believe all the sorting and sifting we did, and we don't appear to have ANYBODY serviceable. If its that we're kicking too many tires...PICK one for God's sake and try them. This is INSANE. Canaan's numbers are -19 with 3 assists and most everybody else was a big fat goose egg. Damn.

Yea I get disappointed when he makes bad reads or has a drive with his head down moment but still the point forward potential is there for all to see
I am guessing he's leading us in assists and probably would be doing Ok for small forwards

He is leading all Forwards with 5.3 assists per game. Rounding out the top 5:

Giannis @ 5.0
KD @ 5.0
Gallinari @ 4.5
Tobias Harris @ 4.5

But those next 4 guys COMBINED have 11 TOs to JJs 15. Ouch.

Not to mention +1, +7, +4, which is good to see when you’re 1-2. At least we’re winning Ayton’s minutes.
The rest of the team was -26 in 20 minutes with Ayton on the bench last night.

The rest of the team was a net negative against the freaking New Zealand Breakers with Ayton on the bench.

I see that we've compared Ayton to Donic already. How about to Bagley so far? Since he plays a big-man position and has recently claimed that he's better than Ayton.

Without even peeping Stats I'm gonna go ahead and say that's a No Comparison !!
I'm not the highest on Bagley so I might be being a lil dismissive

Our guy is looking like the real deal so far and I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to seeing what Ayton and Booker can do together.

Ayton's handling of Nurkic told me everything I needed to know. If you had seen that matchup without knowing anything about either payer, you would have though Nurkic was the rookie.

Canaan sucks IMO. The fact that we're looking to him to steady things and play major minutes is a complete indictment on McD and his handling of the PG position. I'm not sure Canaan even belongs on a roster.
He is the best point guard on the roster.

I've always felt Tim Frazier is worth a look. He got invited to the Bucks training camp, but apparently he is battling for the final roster sport with Tyler Zeller, Shabazz Muhammad, and Christian Wood.

I don’t want anyone else that is having to fight for a roster spot on an NBA team. We have enough of those players.
