Funny to see so many Lakers fans crowning Rondo for spitting on CP3 saying "if there's anyone who deserves to be spit on, it's CP3"...yeah, that must be why they were still whining about the CP3 to Lakers trade being vetoed even 2-3 years after it happened.

Someone made a good point that because of SpitGate, no one was talking about Jokic's monster game against us. Guess we were lucky in that sense.

We should be able to get Jeremy Lin for basically nothing if we wanted to. I think he's better than Canaan by quite a bit. However, I am not sure how we'd fit his $12M salary. I'm usually up on our cap situation but I haven't paid much attention to it since last season.
He can't be traded for a few months I believe.
Can't he be traded by himself, just not part of a package?

Lin wasn't a free agent signing. Atlanta traded for him in July. So there was a 60 day window where he couldn't be traded with other players, but that is over. He has no trade restrictions.

Lin would be a great fit but I'm not sure how much he has left. 12 mil ending contract, so there'd be little risk but I wouldn't give up anything of value. Tyson and Dragan work.

What? Nah, that's to much, imo.

milwaukee is going to be good this year, so the pick is going to be a late first rounder. Lin is perfect for this team. him and teodosic. and lonzo.

Milos isn't even playing right now. It's possible that he could be had for something less valuable. Lonzo doesn't look like he's fitting in with LeBron, but we'll see what happens with Rondo out and Lonzo expected to get more time. I would go after Lonzo if he's available for a reasonable rate. I think he's improved his form a bit(but not shooting great though), gotten stronger, and his dad has shut his trap lately. Lonzo would be a great fit and push the pace for the young guys getting them up the court quickly. I just wouldn't give up the core 4 for him(Ayton, Booker, Bridges, Jackson). I just think that LA will ask for the world for him.

troy daniels and melton for milos. josh jackson and the suns pick (with top 8 protection) for lonzo.

I meant Tyson and Bender, not Tyson and Chandler lol.

Anyways, looking at the offense, it seems like we need a shooter at the PG position. Someone who can come off screens and knock down the shot or create for themselves. Playing PnR is essential out of those sets as well. Not sure Ball fits that description. His offensive game is actually a bit like Jackson's. Lin would be a perfect fit with his offense.

Lin of 5 years ago, but has he been playing well in the past couple years?

ball can work if you surround him with shooters

Ball is a transition PG, not a half court PG

I actually think Canaan has been fine so far. He's been a lot better than Anderson. The problem has been when we have to play Booker or Jackson at PG.

lin, teodosic and taking a chance on jimmer as the third string pg is enough
