When does Okobo's contract become guaranteed? I think we can still cut him and sign someone at a position of need.
Like Split said, it looks like it was fully guaranteed the first 2 years, with an un-guaranteed 3rd year and even a team option in year 4.

So what to do with all these pgs? We could use a troy Daniels type replacement. Sg pure shooter who will provide some microwave scoring off the bench. Any ideas as to who fits that profile?
Rice may get a shot at it. Seems to be a gunner with 3pt range. I don't know that he "shined" in SL...

I agree that he didn't overly shine in SL, but I liked what I saw. I think there's lots of potential there. I'm not sure what an Exhibit 10 contract is though.
Yea I still need to look up that contract. Rice is interesting because he's 6-4 but goes about 230 I think. Highlights kind of remind me of Dion Waiters a bit.

Exhibit 10 is essentially a bonus to keep the player on your g league affiliate. Bonus can be up to 50K.

Yet half the members of this board STILL aren’t ready to give up on him. Not a single NBA team wanted him.
It might be that CSKA Moscow offered him a lot more money than NBA teams would/could pay. Does anybody know the amount of Bender's new contract? I can't find it.
My God you’re in denial. So it’s not that he sucks.’c it’s that he’s so in demand and Moscow won the bidding war   give me a break!
That's a straw man. I'm just saying that Bender might have been able to stay on an NBA roster if he'd wanted, perhaps on a 1-year minimum deal, but he may have gotten a better offer from CSKA. They may have offered more years/money, and/or they may have more of a positional opening where he could play more meaningful minutes there.

It's fine if you think Bender sucks at basketball, but my point is that plenty of guys just as bad or worse are on NBA rosters for next season. I suspect he could have signed somewhere if he'd really wanted to. But for a European player like him, why stay in the NBA at the minimum just to ride the bench? Why not go to a European team and play more minutes and make more money and be more appreciated?

I don't think it is "denial" to think that he simply chose the best option for himself and his career.

FWIW, it sounds like he got a multi-year deal from CSKA Moscow.

Hornets executives explain why they wouldn't trade Frank Kaminsky for 4 1st-round picks

Hornets vice chairman Curtis Polk said the team didn't think they would get much value out of the future picks the Celtics were offering

I'm glad they didn't take the offer. Didn't the Celtics want Winslow at that spot? Then the Heat may have picked Booker ahead of the Suns if that happened, but not totally sure.

He was on our SL team but didn't play for some reason. Thought he'd be someone we'd see a lot of but Nnoko and Spalding saw the minutes up front.

Did we cut someone? We're over 15 now unless that Owens contract is a 2-way.

Gambo always said we were going to dump Okobo. They’re probably waiting to see if they can trade him into cap space and if not, they’ll just waive him.

Can have 20 guys under contract until season starts. Contract for Owens isn’t guaranteed, they can probably convert it to a 2-way if they don’t clear a spot.

Yep. Most likely scenario, unless someone else gets moved.

Personally, I thought the worst thing we could have done on draft night is simply select one of the players projected to go in our range: White, Garland, Hunter, Culver. So I'm pretty pleased we avoided that and filled a starting roster spot instead.
What is wrong with Hunter and Culver?

Saw this tonight...remind all why we need a PG. Hope we get some of this off Rubio - Ayton!
