I still don't understand why we don't run more pick and rolls with a guard and Chriss/Bender. Instead we run this set offense that doesn't do anything but set up someone for an iso play. Every once in awhile it results in an open jumper but that is pretty rare.

I'll say this about Bender...his shots are straight on, which is what you want to see. A good shooter never misses left or right, just long or short. Maybe he just needs to take an extra step back and they'll start falling. Right now, they're consistently off the back heel of the rim.

Well that is shocking stuff for me. I wasn't going to over react to some of his behaviour in the first game and I was coming to post that he is slow to the ball and getting beat on the boards. I have the tv on mute so didn't even hear Watson but how can a 2nd year 20yr old player be fat in the face and outta shape, I really thought it was gym size and as I type this him not being able to get to that alley oop is a telling sign also

His shot is pretty flat. Would love to see a little more arc.

Nah, he and Bender (to an extent) both look heavy footed, plodding.

Biggest difference from last SL is we had a go to player in Book for the first games and a true floor general in Ulis for the whole tournament who was able to get guys shots. Not taking a shot at Mike James though because he is showing the most effort out there

Mike James is a player. At the very least, he could be a backup in the league and a spot starter.

At least we will be fine at PG/SG this year, everything else is up in the air though. We are gonna be really bad again.

Chriss getting pushed off the block, standing upright in the post, getting stripped and not hustling back on D...the coaches better light him up at halftime. Just poor body language, no hustle, looks like he doesn't care.

Our offense is so garbage to watch. weave, iso, bad shot.

Brightside, JJ has a solid euro step.

Yea I'm really enjoying his ballhanding, ability to lead the break and that eurostep was beautiful.

I'm not sure how it happened but I think the Mavs have figured out our complex offense. They are now anticipating our clever passes.

That was a nice little hook from Jackson.

Lol , I know everyone is assessing individual skill sets which is fair but the coaching staff has me just as puzzled as anything else. Like you keep saying bro, if James doesn't get in the paint on the initial pick and roll it's just everyone getting the ball out on the perimeter trying moves or where they are not comfortable with IMO, DJJ had about 4 post ups for example smh .....

Jackson stands out. That's what you want to see. Great steal and finish for the dunk on what was actually a tough play.

He and Reed have connected a few times which I like. Reed looks like a 30 year old out there, in a good way. Has a Paul Pierce kinda style where he plays slower but is really confident with his game. He can handle, just went 1on1 at the end of the 3rd but couldn't finish at the rim. We have a really solid future on the perimeter with Booker, JJ and Reed in the mix now.
