Feels like if they could get him to just concentrate on being a hustle and energy guy whilst only taking the occasional 3, then he might start to get some level of consistency.

That’s exactly what they have him concentrating on. Their mistake is expecting concentration from him

Pistons shot 32% on their field goals, which is bad.
Suns shot 29% on their free throws, which is worse.

That is huge for us. Atlanta only has two games against tank teams left as opposed to three for us. So it is really nice for them to pick up a random win.

Man i have a hard time remembering anyone lazier on defense than Payton. I am ready to let him go. Can’t teach effort.
