Prediction: Bender doesn't play unless there's garbage time.
Not a super bold prediction. He's not in our top 10.

I remember watching DeAndre Jordan absolutely toy with the Suns centers last year and thinking they won't be able to beat those types of teams until they can score against him or match up physically with him. I'll really be curious as to how Deandre looks against DeAndre.
Yeah, let's see how important that capital 'A' really is!
We need to come up with a better name for Ayton.

I loved the Kiwi announcer's description of him during that game with the team Marion partially owns.

Drama lines going tonight.

Ayton vs. Doncic
Ayton facing his most difficult test in Deandre Jordan and his defense
Kokoskov vs his former player in Doncic.

And last but not least, Isaiah Canaan is starting tonight. The last time the Mavs were in town was a really really bad night for Canaan. Yes. It was that night. Who would have believed that the next time the Mavs would be in town he would be the Suns starting pg?
As far as I know starters haven't been announced. Did I miss something?

Prediction: Bender is cut by end of the season.

Bender has no business being on this team at this point. He's 5 mil of filler, AT BEST.

Lol. I’m going to assume it will actually be:

Canaan
Booker
Jackson
Ariza
Ayton

If we want Doncic to score 40 tonight, then yes we should start Anderson at the 4. So I take back what I originally wanted, that is a horrible matchup.

If summer league and pre-season have shown anything, it is that Jackson shouldn't be starting.

I don’t disagree. I don’t think he deserves it. But he represents our future right now until he proves that he is not a piece or he is traded. I’m giving him this entire year to either prove he is or isn’t.

By the end of this season, if he’s still the same player with the same weaknesses, we’ll know we only have 2 core star players.

Yeah, I am hoping he shows that he has at least one legit NBA-level skill besides getting into the paint (and then making a bad decision).

Jackson needs to just take what the offense gives him and work his butt off filling the holes on both ends. Leave the shot creation to Devin, Deandre and basically anyone else for now. Calm down, play strong.

He just needs to do what he was supposedly so good at in college. Play defense better than anyone else on the court. So far, he has been awful at that.

Another start to a new season. Last place last year. I make the bold prediction they have more wins.

Jackson? Still an unknown. He was getting rave reviews in the first preseason game. You are only as good as your last performance. He needs to start getting it together and play more consistently for sure.

Ayton Doncic matchup? Not really a matchup imo.

I am very excited about this year. Hopefully Phoenix starts to rise from the ashes.

Well he should definitely be "a ton" for opposing teams to handle.

Let's gooooo!!! Finally, after 3 long years, we get to root for wins again. That alone should make this a better season.
A better month or two, anyway.

I don't think anybody has stated that they will be personally matched up but their teams are.

I made some small player proposition bets for tonights game. It's my first time trying this, so I'm sure I'll fail miserably.

Dennis Smith Jr. - Over 18.5 points (-130) pays $5 + $3.85
Trevor Ariza - Over 8.5 points (-135) pays $5 + $3.70
Josh Jackson - Over 1.5 turnovers (-145) pays $5 + $3.45
Isaiah Canaan - Over 9.5 points (-115) pays $5 + $4.35

Player props from other games.

Hassan Whiteside - Over 11.5 rebounds (-135) pays $5 + $3.70
Trae Young - Over 2.5 3-pointers made (+110) pays $5 + $5.50
Danny Green - Over 7.5 points (-130) pays $5 + $3.85
DeAaron Fox - Over 2.5 turnovers (+105) pays $5 + $5.25

You can see that I like to take the over.
