Just don’t get the Lakers in round 1 and I’m ok with the other options...we won’t get Utah, Clippers, or Denver. Dallas, Portland or any of the 8th seed contenders would be just fine with me.

I would prefer a top 2 seed so we at least get home court the first two rounds. I doubt if Monty/Booker/Paul even believe in resting anyway.

The only away games I am worried about in a series are Utah and Denver due to altitude. So yeah, getting the #1 seed would be great to avoid playing (up to) 4 games in either place. Having to go through both as a road team seems too much.

Going on the road against Utah scares me, although we did produce 1 of their 2 home losses this season.

The old Flagstaff preseason practice facility used to help with the high altitude conditioning.

I just love the fact we are discussing which top seed would be best, along with home court for the first two rounds.
It is sooooooo much better than planning when we are going to start to tank and which possible lottery pick we can waste this year.
Man I have missed this!!!
Long may it continue.

Haven’t read it yet, but Nekias is a smart guy and is pretty high on the Suns.

Look at that Booker defensive rating. Over the last 15 games, no one in our top 8 has a better one. And look at the Ayton offensive rating, no one in the top 8 has a better one.

Kind of a weird year, our starters are now clicking and the bench is struggling. If we ever get them both going at the same time...look out.

The current team is projected to win 50 games on 538. How many wins does the Rubio-led quad win this season if the Paul trade isn't made? More than 40?
No way. How many games has Paul kept us in with his playmaking or shooting? A lot.
I’m with Indy. We certainly wouldn’t be a top seed.

If we ran back last years team we’d be fighting for the play in games, which currently would be 24-28 wins.
Agreed.

I was watching the halftime show of the Clips game the other night, and Chuck had a very interesting point. He mentioned CP3 as a potential MVP and that the award doesn't go to the best player, but the one that is most valuable to his team. And if you think about it, CP3 has to be up there in the conversation with that logic. I feel like he has been, at minimum, a 10-15 game improvement.

And I think that is the main reason why Book won't be a serious contender for MVP; Paul is seen as such a big factor in the team's success that it is almost impossible to make the case that Book is the league's MVP.

I think Jokic is pretty comfortably the MVP at the moment.

Even if we got the #1 seed in the West, neither of our star guards would win MVP. Jokic seems to have it locked up unless he injures himself.

I think Paul will get some 4th or 5th place votes if the Suns stay the course for the rest of the season. I would've never guessed that could happen before the season started.

Now that the buyout window has closed, I can’t help but feel like we missed an important opportunity to upgrade our big man depth.

You're probably right but I get the impression that Jones had no intention of doing so. I'm a little jealous of Denver and how well Gordon is fitting in there.

A lot of that seems to be good chemistry with Jokic. We don't have a big man who passes like that, so the situations are pretty different. I'm pretty happy with how Crowder is working out so far.

Denver had a pretty epic collapse against Boston in the 4th today...reminiscent of our 4th Q explosion against the Pelicans.

He was supposedly talking to Dieng.

We have a pretty critical weakness that will be exploitable in the playoffs.

If Ayton gets in foul trouble against a team like LA, we’re toast against a Davis-Drummond front line.
