Except he probably said something other than "guy". (Sorry, that was in bad taste. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.)

Book to Bridges seems to be a theme there.
Wolves are 3-6.ShelC wrote:It would take more than just DA as far as salaries go. And I agree that Simmons doesn't necessarily fit well with our roster. We have the shooters for him to take advantage of, but he's so ball dominant that I'm not sure he could work with CP. If we didn't have CP it might make more sense. Not apples to apples but he's like a larger version of Payton and Rubio (who's actually become a somewhat reliable scorer/3pt shooter).
Unless there's really something brewing with DA not wanting to play, we don't seem to be in the "blockbuster trade" phase of our run. And relying on Javale and Frank as our main 5s would be risky even with the thought of Simmons as a frontcourt 4/5.
I agree it doesn’t make sense, but we gotta stop looking at Simmons as a guard. He’s a 4 that can play small ball 5 and run the offense. We would be stupid to try and use him like Philly did.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 12:23 pmSimmons for Ayton makes absolutely no sense for either team. Philly is going to start Ayton and Embiid? What? And we're going to trade a great young center for a pouty guard who needs the ball in his hands and can't shoot when we already have CP3 and Book running our offense? Bleh. Really silly trade idea.
Now, Ayton for Rubio, THAT's a trade I can get behind. (I keed, I keed.)
He is 6-11, 240. He's the same height as Ayton and same weight at Frank.Split T wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 12:52 pmI agree it doesn’t make sense, but we gotta stop looking at Simmons as a guard. How about a three way with us ending up with KAT? That makes more sense.3rdside wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:46 amWolves are 3-6.ShelC wrote:It would take more than just DA as far as salaries go. KAT has had one winning season in his 7 years there, with Jimmy butler back in the day.
Anthony Davis lasted 7 years with NO with a slightly better performing team.
Surely (surely, lol) there’s a shot.

Though he hasn’t professionally set foot on a basketball court since July — due to a torn ACL the forward-center suffered during Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals — Phoenix Suns star baller Dario Šarić still boasts an impressive salary. That means the native Croatian, 27, naturally has plenty of cash to dole out on a lavish home. His residence of choice: some strikingly Scandinavian-influenced digs in the sought-after Bartlett Estates neighborhood of Phoenix...
