I guess that’s why some teams are wary of fouling up 3…Beal looked like he tried to foul, but ref didn’t call it until Kennard took the shot.

Also with a 6 point lead and the ball, Washington should have held the ball instead of scoring quickly with 40 seconds left…could have ran that down to 16 seconds…though it might not have mattered with how they finished anyways
You don't wait until the shooter gets around a screen to try and foul. You foul Winslow when he is facing away from the hoop holding the ball. He is an 18% 3P shooter and 52% FT shooter. So dumb.
This makes me very thankful to have a good coach in Monte Williams.

If they wanted the foul called, they should have really grabbed him/wrapped him up. They aren't going to call that weak of a foul attempt at the end of a game.

Or you tell the refs ahead of time when you're going to foul and then foul early.

Yup ...Oubre had 39 to contribute to Hornets dropping 158 on the Pacers.

Oubre is having a great year. He’s in the role we kinda saw as his ideal one as 6th man in Charlotte. Wonder how long he’ll be satisfied in that role though.

The Knicks are terrible. Thibs will probably end up falling on the sword at some point.

he can't like that job, right? I mean I guess if you can get paid millions of dollars and live in NYC, sure. But the job has to be just awful.

It was his dream job but he's been around long enough to know how things go. It's also why his agent pushed for 5 years and not 3. He'll prob get paid more not to coach the Knicks, like all the others.

It has been 22 years since they made it to a conference finals game. I didn't realize how long it was. I also didn't realize Van Gundy left the Knicks over 20 years ago. Time flies.

This is a crazy story. I know some people here have asked about Baynes this season.

Put this one up there with the "win-shares" stat. That is, it's goofy and doesn't really say much.

The Knicks overachieved last year. They aren't as good as their record last season implied. I don't think Thibs is an excellent coach, but it seems to me like their roster is the problem, not the coaching.

Maybe, but has any fan base been happy with him for more than 2 seasons?
