Gotta say I am very pleased with how we’ve played the last few.
Payne has had some crunch time struggles, but he won’t have to do that when CP3 is back. His play overall is encouraging for our 2nd unit. Holiday has shown he can do a decent job as a backup guard and Shamet seems to be finding some rhythm here. The Cam explosion was also very nice and honestly all 3 of our wings have shown they can do more if need be. That’s nice to have for the playoffs.

Payne is his four starts since returning from injury -

123 Min (30.8)
23/59 FG (.390)
7/18 3Pt FG (.389)
10/13 FT (.769)
13 Reb (3.2)
44 Ast (11.0)
10 Trn (2.5)
5 Stl (1.25)
2 Blk (0.50)
63 Pts (15.6)

The shooting hasn't been great but the scoring has been good and the passing has been better than we could have hoped for.

These three all played great tonight. Was really happy to see Shamet have a big game. Bridges also had the nice block to end the game. I loved the last second pass from Payne to Ayton to put us up by 3. I was 99% certain Payne was going to take a bad contested layup there, but he made a great play.

Monty Williams' record is now 137-73 in his 210 regular-season games as head coach of the Suns. He takes over 6th place in all-time victories with the franchise, passing Danny Ainge (136-90). His current .651 winning percentage is just a tick ahead of Mike D'Antoni (.650) for second place among all Suns coaches, behind only Paul Westphal at .685.

It's nice to feel like there's finally maybe a little bit of stability on the bench. We've all seen how things can change, but at this point I really hope Williams is able to continue to be the guy for the foreseeable future. He's really easy to like and respect, and he's getting great results.

Glad they got the the win but that was some of the worst defense I've ever seen out of Ayton until the last 2 minutes. Carter, Bamba, and Wagner ate that dudes lunch every time. Made some blocks and a score at the end to preserve the win but I have no clue what he was doing on defense for most of the game.

The Magic will never be good because they let guys like MO Bamba shoot 6 threes a game. That's incredibly stupid. Wendell Carter was destroying the Suns then they just decided to let Bamba and Cole Anthony jack stupid shots.

I know some people are high on Franz Wagner but I don't see it. He's like dollar store Dirk.

Suns are lucky to get out of Orlando with a win. They played with their food all game long. No dessert for them unless you think having to play the Heat on a back to back is dessert.

I don't think we can pay Ayton the max. He just isn't worth it. Zero competitive fire unless Chris Paul is out there putting the coals to him & he won't be for much longer. He seems to have plateaued as a player as well.

Bridges got a little beat up that game. That slip to the floor looked painful. I hope he’s ok.

Feels like there been lots of these types of posts recently...
Hope "insert name" is Ok

It's JeremyG that crossed my mind as it's been a minute since I think he posted or maybe I missed it. Either way I know he's always defending DA, gotta say I feel like you guys hardly give DA credit for real man
It's mainly what he hasn't done type posts

I get it that the grading scale is always If he's worth the max so seems like his lapses are magnified and a ho hum vibe to whatever he did well lol 🤐🤷🏾‍♂️

Cam P cracks me up
He's still getting himself in trouble a little with the decision making and the camera always pans to him after the miss or turnover and you can see the disappointment and literally scolding himself like he's hearing Monty n CP3
Bless the kid and gotta luv his passion man. Don't think anyone can say they haven't seen a difference with how he's running the offense. His assists numbers aren't flukey so credit to him

Luv that Shamet is settling down and again for the millionth time it is a confidence thing with him. Someone mentioned knowing the not getting a quick hook at the moment so really wanna see his games back off the bench. He has to be able to check in and be $$ unless in the Playoffs it's Payne that would play the stretches besides Paul or Book would sub back in quicker
That's unfortunately the nature of his role, he gotta be efficient in his minutes most likely only in the teens

Great games from Ayton and Shamet last night! Glad to see two in a row from Shamet.
