I’m not sure people are putting value in it, the fact that the suns record improved significantly shows how well they essentially take in information for 3 quarters and then the real game begins.

The post was made mostly making fun of how bad the Jazz are in the 4th. That also tracks as they are a team built on taking a bunch of 3s and playing drop defense. When the 4th Q shows up and teams tighten up and attack weak points, the Jazz fall apart. They are built to be a regular season, 3 quarter team.

Clips being good in the 4th tracks with Lue being a great adjustment coach as well.

It's just frustrating to have sat back and watched all these years where the criteria was pretty clear as to what was valued for end of season awards and now that the Suns are doing all these things but now winning is boring and we don't award boring.

There's only one award I care about and it doesn't involve voting.

I get what you’re saying djy2j…but I actually think COTY is one where it’s never really gone to the team with the best record. It’s almost always gone to the team that surprises the most. Although we’re also talking about one person’s vote who originally voted for Monty and was talked out of it on his podcast by a Memphis homer. Also, Monty is going to win the award and it’s not gonna be close. He’s -2000 to win in Vegas.

The team with the best record doesn’t just automatically get all the awards. Booker is going to get 1st team all-nba, which is more than I expected. He’s gonna finish top 5 in mvp voting and get some 1st place votes. That’s pretty crazy tbh when you look at the seasons Jokic, Embiid, and Giannis had. Cam J will likely finish top 3 in 6MOY and Mikal is gonna end up on 1st Team All D.

So to sum up, we’ll win 1 award, be the only team with 2 all-nba guys, and finish in a ballot position in 2 other awards and snag an all-d team spot. I’d say that’s pretty good. No other team is going to fare that well in the awards. Maybe Miami if Herro and Bam win 6MOY and DPOY, but Miami is the other 1 seed so that kinda tracks.

I think Monty will win COTY. Book will be 1st team All-NBA, CP3 will probably be 3rd. Mikal Bridges will be top-3 for DPOY. That's pretty good for awards season.

I would agree if this were a pretty good season. This was a phenomenal/elite season. One of the best in NBA history so those accolades aren't enough for me.

Need Monty COY and Mikal DPOY and Book to be no less than 1sr team. Anything less will be disrespectful. I think Book should be MVP but that's a long shot

It's been a historic season. Best record in franchise history. Biggest lead on the field going into the playoffs in 22 years. Pretty good is not good enough.

Monty is a -2000 to get the media one…It would be a massive upset if he didn’t get it. Early returns have him leading, though Jenkins is close

That would be a violation of the CBA, but I agree with your sentiment.
