Schroder, Micic, Kemba. If we go the free agent route, those are the 3 that make the most sense. I'd even consider bringing back Iffe or Okobo.

I don't think Kemba is cooked. He's just not a starting PG anymore and he can't defend at all. He can give you 15 minutes of offense and I probably trust him more than Payne at this point.

We can't go into the season as is. Payne was trash for 80% of the regular season and beyond unplayable in the playoffs. Sure, he may bounce back, but I wouldn't be our season on it. We absolutely need to scale CP back this year, but in order to do that you need some consistency from the backup spot. Payne's not that.

By the way, I saw something on twitter that Micic needs an NBA solution by the 21st or he has to go back to Europe.

Some PG targets who may be getting squeezed out of their roles if we go the trade route:

Killian Hayes
Kira Lewis
Theo Maledon

Dennis Smith Jr, Michael Carter-Williams, or bring back Elfrid Payton.

Ok, I know this will be controversial...what about Harden?
He’s a FA and is staying in Philly

LOL ! It's not the best list, but it's what's available.

DJ Augustine and Eric Bledsoe are still out there too.

Haha, ya have free agent market in general is bad. I’m honestly at the point where I think Melo might be the best player we can still get.

I would love Donovan but we don’t have the trade assets to get him.

Nor does he make sense on our roster.

Well we desperately need someone else that can dribble and create for themselves and others. But we don't need another undersized guard, much less one that is a really bad defender.

The thing we need least is a high-usage 2 guard making $30M a season. We're perfectly set in that area.

It would be a weird fit, but you take the talent and figure it out. Especially since CP3 isn’t gonna last much longer and Mitchell/Booker is a fantastic backcourt going forward.

Knicks have way better assets though(at least based on what the Jazz want)
