I'm not getting a doom and gloom sense of things just yet and I don't think the offseason was "disastrous". You can't make big moves every offseason and, aside from a KD trade, you're not going to win a title with one trade in July/August. The C's didn't make wholesale changes after losing in the Finals, the Heat hardly make huge moves with their roster yet they compete every year. I understand the window we have, but slow and steady can be a good thing sometimes instead of swinging for the fences on every trade and signing. And you never know how things can shake out during the season leading up to the deadline.

If we traded Sarver for anybody who’s normal, I’d say this was one of the best off seasons in recent memory. Imagine if we get a guy who is hands off who sets clear parameters on spending who gets out of the way of the professionals. Not all billionaires got successful by being unadulterated assholes. If we get someone who understands that happy and empowered employees are maximized and creates an atmosphere that’s actually attractive to talents on and off the court, then this summer would be an absolute miracle, as it would restore hope to a Suns fan.

Clear parameters such as: "Keep the tax bill under $500 million."

We're not just running it back. We're losing our starting PF. So we better still make some good moves before the season starts.

This feels so much like that offseason where McDonough was supposed to find a point guard, but instead just did nothing and got fired during training camp.

In: Dario Saric, Damion Lee, Josh Okogie, Duane Washington Jr, Jock Landale, Frank Jackson, Timothe Luwawa-Cabarrot, plus 1-2 more depending on a Crowder move.

Out: Jae Crowder, Javale McGee, Elfrid Payton, Aaron Holiday, Iffe Lundberg.

We do need to replace Crowder with another top 6 rotation guy or we have taken a step back. Unless our young core took pretty big steps forward this offseason. Looking at Ayton, CamJ, and Mikal.

Is it weird that the new guy I have the most excitement and hope for is a 2-Way guy? DWJ is my favorite acquisition so far.

We're losing our starting PF most everyone agreed we needed an upgrade from. We have CamJ in the role which seems to be the direction the FO and coaching staff wanted to go heading into the offseason. The FO worked on a KD trade that didn't pan out (yet) and was in talks for Bojan that fell thru when we pushed for Vanderbilt, whom a lot of people want.

We also re-signed our top 5 center to a pretty reasonable deal.

The Sarver stuff is a blessing in disguise for the staff and players on media day. I think it's easier for them to make comments about that rather than their implosion to end the season.
