I'm really impressed with Simons. I thought there was a decent chance that he'd plateau with Dame back, but he's looked better than last year and is still filling out physically.
I’m a big Simons fan…I would love to have a dynamic pull up guy like him that can just go nuclear. That’s what I want most for our bench

The coaching staff in Houston is pretty bad
What makes you say that?

Man, Denver off to a rough start.

Steven Silas is 38-120 as Rockets head coach, and his lead assistant (John Lucas) is allegedly kind of a "player relationship" type of coach but they're always having issues with young players acting out.

I'd be more willing to excuse Silas' poor record if he didn't constantly bury guys like Sengun and Eason in favor of guys without nearly the level of upside like Fernando and Tate. Being bad and intentionally not giving the minutes to developmental players is idiotic.

Tate and Fernando are legit. I don't think the record means anything because the Rockets haven't fielded a roster conducive to winning. The only negative that I have heard about Silas is that he isn't a disciplinarian and that guys like Christian Wood and KPJ took advantage of that.

Eh, Tate and Fernando are specialist role players. Sengun and Eason have potential to be multi-faceted full time starters.

Porter and Murray don't look good. Porter had a great stat line tonight, but I just don't like the way he is moving and it doesn't look like he has the same confidence.

I don't think it's an either/or. There are minutes for all of them. Fernando has only played in two games. The first, he played 12 minutes. The second, he played 25 minutes and had 7 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 blocks. I don't have a problem with any of that.

Sengun should be getting 30 minutes a night when healthy, but whatever, I'm not a Rockets fan.

You're right. It's just going to take some time for those guys to get fully back. You see it all the time. Dario is going through the same thing here.

It's also only been a few games. I am not really reading too much into some of these teams' starts. Utah and Portland undefeated? That won't last. Denver and Philly struggling? Maybe, but I want to wait and see. Lakers horrible? ... well ok, that one's legit.

Bold take predicting they won't go 82-0.

But the Lakers going 0-82 is legit.

Luka gets away with so much crap. I can't stand watching him play.

I think he's got some degeneration going on or something more severe than just a ligament thing.

That sucks for him and for the team. I don't really want to battle a healthy Clippers team in the playoffs, but you hate to see a guy like that who should still have several good years left in him, brought low by some kind of unexpected chronic injury.

No Ingram, Zion and to a lesser extent Herb Jones and the Pelicans beat the Mavs

Last season I was pulling for Willie G to do well and enjoyed watching their growth but think we all know they are a serious "potential enemy". Can't see me putting them in the Mavs, Lakers, Clippers, Warriors bracket as teams I hate if we lose to but never know lol. Playoffs were a battle, there was plenty yapping and they for sure gonna be hyped for all our matchups

Trey Murphy showed some stuff in the playoffs and off to a strong start which again is more length/size to that rotation. Pelicans definitely got a good thing going

Part of the game. Not all stars are that durable. He’s not a favorite player to watch. I will enjoy rooting against PG-13
