Very sad. People stop posting online and you always hope it's because they wised up and not for reasons like this.

Very sad to hear about Dave. I didn’t know that he had cancer. What an awesome, genuine person who absolutely loved what he did and put his heart and soul into the Suns community. He will be missed tremendously.

Hopefully at the appropriate time the Suns can do something special to honor him and his family.

Wow, that's horrible about Dave King. Only 57.

"passed away after a valiant battle with stage IV melanoma that spread to the brain"

So, that's skin cancer that spread to his brain?! Jeez. I just had a skin cancer removed from my arm a couple months ago. I've got a two inch scar across my left bicep to show for it.

Sunscreen is your friend. My esthetician wife will yell at me if I don't wear it.

Bol moves to questionable…good to see Grayson listed as questionable as well.

I'm a little less worried since his knee and ankle injuries aren't on the same leg, but I still hope Allen gets a night off.

Maybe some will remember Dave King came to the old phxsuns.net forums back when he first started Bright Side and asked us for feedback on his first article. He extended an invitation to us all to join and I've followed his work ever since.

He helped many of the current Suns credentialed reporters, podcasters, and writers get started. He organized and annual charity event that provided 20,000 Suns tickets to children in the community.

I personally had great interactions with him over the years. Always a stand up guy who loved the team and the online community he helped build. Dave will be missed. RIP

I don’t think I realized he came to the old forum. That’s cool. I’ve never interacted with him but by all accounts he seems like a really great guy. Way too young go. RIP

The whole Tuesday night TNT gang had Booker as a West reserve. Lefkoe, Candace, Jamal, Vince. That’s 7 out of 8 between the Tuesday and Thursday crews. No way he’s left off.

Here’s a question for you guys - let’s say we use the trade exception to bring in a player and/or sign a buyout guy.

Who do you cut?

I think for me it’s D Lee then Yuta, even though we’d have to eat salary for next year on both guys.

I missed that and I'm trying to find a clip or photo of their list.

I've recently had an ongoing debate with someone about Jamal Murray being selected over Fox. I'm on the side that Fox is more likely and Murray won't be selected at all other than maybe as an injury replacement designated by Silver, while my Canadian friend (no bias there lol) is insisting that Murray deserves it more than Fox.

Basically, I want to show him that no one is talking about Murray at all for the All-Star game. Don't feel bad for him, he gaslights me about Devin Booker all the time.

Murray's missed 14 games and his stats are pretty pedestrian compared to other players in the All Star conversation. The only arguments in his favor are ones like "NBA Champion" and "Best player not to be named an all star," none of which are based on merit for this season.

You have to love how there’s a games played requirement for end of season awards but not for all star or player of the week. Kinda think this minimum games played rule needs to be adjusted or removed.

I think it’s more likely we make a move like this after a 2 for 1 trade…but if we don’t I’d probably first try and see if anyone wants any of our vet min guys for a protected 2nd rd pick or just cash. If I absolutely had to cut someone it would probably be Yuta. I think Lee has some potential to be useful for us.
