with the addition of Royce and emergence of Bol there's reason to believe the Suns have the offensive firepower to compete for the trophy (if healthy).

but there's still reason to believe the defense won't cut it. Still too many layup drills and open 3's.

this article says, "it all starts with the ability of Devin Booker to be able to stop his assignment from blowing by him. Per B-Ball Index, Booker’s overall defensive impact grades out as an “F”."

My hope is his defense ramps up in the playoffs like it did last year

This surprises me
Haven't really thought of Book as a turnstile on D recently
I know his tendency to commit dumb fouls sometimes annoys me but him being a weak link on D is interesting

Oh, he is sometimes very disinterested in closing out on shooters, just giving them the wide open shot.

Only Kyle Korver has shot a higher percentage from 3 at this volume. Grayson has been awesome and I hope we pay him.

And another. Do we want either of these guys?

I wouldn't mind Mills as a veteran ballhandler/shooter. Just a nice vet to have on the bench, break-in-case-of-emergency kinda guy.

Kinda feels like he’s washed. Decent 3pt shooter but can’t do anything else. I think I’d rather play the two Lees(Damion or Saben)

Id probably take a shot on Porter before Mills, you can't have enough W defenders, and Mills isn't gonna run any offense better than Lee at this point

That takes care of that.

The last thing this team needs is useless defenders, offense, no matter how ugly it may be, isn't the problem.

Really wish we could've acquired Drummond or even Gafford. Blarg.

7 hours before tipoff and no Rockets thread? Are we using last weeks thread and just adding on? 😎

I thought this was a good list, with Beal at #1.

10 players who need to make a leap in the stretch run of 2023-24
The stretch run is here and these players should have pivotal roles on their teams as 2023-24 finishes.

Fire Bone! I'm not sure how you typed that as your fingers must be broken. When's the last time you made a thread? :P

Marcus Morris has been a Suns killer for a few years now. But you just know he wouldn't be nearly as effective on our own roster as he is going against his hated enemy the Suns.
