TJ played for U of A. We had Mickey McConnell on our Summer League team.

these guys are putting up nice stat lines, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here... they are being put into difficult situations and given the opportunity to play and make mistakes, because of the team situation. but i would say this is not a hassan whiteside situation. these guys kicked around the league because they had legitimate holes in their games. i've watched a couple of pelicans games, ish is a speedster for sure, but until he adds a shot to his game, his team is basically always playing four on five. he averages a lot of assists because of how little he shoots (and he does have decent passing vision). and i don't think he's exactly blowing people out of the water on defense.

haven't watched mcconnell but i would suspect something similar. everybody puts up numbers on the sixers...

The Mavs / Clippers game was awesome. So cool to see the Mavs kick their butt down the stretch with everyone on their team contributing and L.A. not being able to play DAJ because he can't shoot foul shots.

Not really news but more of an insider view of the free agency of Lamarcus Aldridge. I really enjoyed reading this and thought you guys would to. I hope this wasn't posted before. Damn Riley.

Found this interesting....Goran Dragic's usage rate this yr is 18.6. To put it in perspective, T.J. Warren has a higher usage rate. If you watch Miami play, Wade has the ball in his hands alot more then Dragic.

Goran got paid and I'm sure he loves playing in Miami, but he can't be happy with how he is being used in Miami or the production he's putting up.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

I noticed he had something like 3 points and 2 assists in a win the other day.

That should probably change somewhat as the season progress and Wade racks up DNPs on back-to-backs and for the inevitable pulls and strains.

Detroit pounding the Clippers. Like against us, no Paul, no Redick. LAC's depth is fool's gold and they play no defense. Pretenders written all over them.

Van Gundy COTY if Pistons keep this up. With Luke Walton's permission of course haha.

...and Clippers win thanks to Jamal going nova and Griffin playing point forward, almost recording a trible double and making clutch shots.

Ugly game by Marcus Morris, and Drummond less than 50%FT, and less than 40% for the season on 7 attempts per game.

The beat a Drum strategy worked well for them.

Brooklyn, of all teams, blew a chance to give the Warriors their first loss. They were up 3 (@ GS) with 9 seconds left in regulation and elected not to foul. Of course, the Warriors hit a 3 to send it to overtime. Brooklyn didn't score again until the last minute of OT.

I watched that one. The Nets were tied and could have won on a Lopez tip-in with 0.5 sec left, but he missed it. Then the Warriors destroyed them in the overtime, outscoring them 12-2 or some such. It was a fun comeback to watch. The wife and I watch the Warriors pretty regularly now that we live in the SF Bay area. They are my second team. They are really fun to watch and they're kicking ass again this year. Curry is probably the MVP of the league so far.
