Here's a good article about our SL team with some quotes from Jackson and Bender.

Its nice to see a coach say things you think a coach would say.

I can't wait to see how Ayton and the Summer Suns look on Friday! Now I'm hearing it's possible Doncic will play.

That quote and more appears in Bordow's latest article. Check out the picture of Jackson in practice. I didn't even recognize him. He looks like a different person.

Yeah--I really like the cut. Im sure he will grow it out again sometime in the future, but it feels like its a sign he is taking the job more seriously.

I know this is a little thing, but I'm a little worried that Ayton has reportedly lost weight and wonder if he's lost strength. As he was 261 last year and now is weighing in at 250. The strength of his game is that he was bigger, stronger and more athletic with an excellent skill set. If he's losing muscle, that strength is being minimized.

It's probably just repercussions of all the cardio & running he's doing. He is going from practicing once a day to twice a day. Once they get him on a pro's weight and meal plan I am sure he'll be back to his playing weight.
Go Suns!

IIRC, that 261 came with 5.6% body fat, so if it’s true that he lost 11 pounds, some of it was muscle.

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about. I was hoping that he would be 5% body fat and at a weight of 270.

There is no way he is at 5% body fat.

I wonder, how do they measure it, and how reliable are the measurements?

Who even measured him at those numbers? He didn't go to the combine.

Good question. That number was out there, widely reported as fact, while he was playing for Arizona, long before the combine. But I don’t know where it came from.

I like the fact that Ayton's acknowledging how important recovery is (a good early sign of being professional) and that he seems to be developing a healthy respect for Kokoskov, as that relationship is going to be crucial. Neither means a heck of a lot now, but is nice reassurance for us fans.

Will never understand the hype. Ever. From day 1 I didnt see anything special, just bad shots and super high usage rate. Its a bummer he'll always be the guy that was traded for Doncic.
