This will give Ishbia about 48 hours to help make some deadline deals.
I wonder if he's a big splash kind of guy?

It will be interesting to see if there is an emphasis by the league office to keep any questionable characters from assuming high profile front office positions with the team.

You would think after the Clippers, Mavericks and Suns fiascos they would circulate some sort of memo warning about the public perception if some individuals with questionable backgrounds (like Isiah Thomas) are hired.
You would think, but Isiah is literally employed by the nba so I doubt they tell Ishbia he can’t hire him.

There was certainly a lot of backlash when he was hired as President of the New York Liberty in 2015.

Is that where someone would want to go with a multi-billion dollar business?

Suns fans should riot if Thomas is hired in any capacity.

Maybe the fact Sarver sold to him counts as the suns vote…or does Ishbia vote on himself

He wasn’t the governor yet (still isn’t until the sales contract is finalized tomorrow I assume), so I’m guessing it was Sam Garvin voting.

I didn’t realize that Jason Richardson also won the 2000 championship with him. Maybe he’ll bring J-Rich back to the organization.

“Expected to close this week.” Hopefully Gambo’s right that it will be tomorrow.

It actually might not be so hilarious, though. You think Joe Tsai is petty, what's going to happen if we want to make a trade with the Cavaliers?

Yeah, it's not great to start out on bad terms with another owner, but to be fair, Dan Gilbert is a colossal prick.

Ishbia’s unknowingly saving us from the Jae for Cedi Osman deal.

Gonna be interesting now that the deal is complete. The trade deadline is 3 days away and I can't wait to see what happens.
