Please no Jeff Teague...he's not a bad player, but 19 million next year? No thank you

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
Looking at Teague's numbers and he's a little better than I thought. He's a pretty good distributor with a good A/TO ratio. His 3 pt percentage has trended up to 36-37%, which is solid as well. He'd be a good player for us and make us better this year, but I'm still not a fan of that 19 million next season.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
Teague would have to be longer term for us, because he takes us out of free agency next year. Well, unless they want Ryan Anderson. I do like JT, though.

Seems to be what all 30 teams are saying this summer. Poor Jet. One year shy of making it an even 20.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I don't want Teague or Dragic.
Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
I'd rather eat Joakim Noah's deal and take Frankie Ntilikina back than pay Dragic or Teague $19M next season.

I totally agree, but I also want to point out a bit of fan double standards here. A lot of us say we don't need a star PG, just a serviceable role player. Teague is just that. He's pretty good. But we don't want to pay for him because he's not a star.
I wonder if there is any established PG we would be happy to acquire.

I'd absolutely love Jrue Holiday. And yes I know there's zero chance of acquiring him.
Kyle Lowry would also make a lot of sense. Mike Conley if he's healthy.

Lowry's old and 64mil owed to him over the next two years. Hard pass.
Same to Conley. Nice player, way too expensive.

Re: 2018 Suns Offseason News
The Suns used a big chunk of their cap space for next year when they gave Booker his extension, so I wouldn't be to worried about using what's left if a good enough deal came along. I believe I read they have about $17 million in projected space. That doesn't buy you to much on the free agent market nowadays.

I'd only have interest in Conley or Lowry if they were unloading Anderson's contract in the deal.

Fair, I was mostly just talking about fit. I'd rather use that cap space on Jrue, Lowry, or Conley than on Teague. I'd probably rank it, Jrue, Cap Space, Healthy Conley, Lower, Teague

Sounds like McD is talking directly to Woj.

I’m not sure I want Jeff Teague. Would we do better to sign a PG next offseason? Terrry Rozier and Kemba would be big signings.
