I love that this series has devolved into commiserating on Hubie Brown's coaching experiences from 50 years ago.
Alot of people like him. I can't stand him. It's like giving a microphone to a snapping turtle.

Feels like Shamet has played every minute in the second half. This Monty riding him into the sunset?

Next year will be the best KD yr to try and win it. It can still work you just need such a better supporting cast and more durability from whoever that 3rd wheel is. Ayton I think can net us some role players that can fit around Booker and KD
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Give Jeremy his flowers. He hates Monty, and he was correct. Send Monty packing WITH DA and CP3, retool. Maybe send James Jones out too

Okogie went from starter to DNP - CD pretty quickly.

I love that even in this shit show, Monty finds a way to play Book and KD 40 minutes.

Sickening end to the season for a consecutive year. My prediction is Ishbia will clean house and build what he feels is a structure for success. Wouldn't surprise me if only Booker and KD are the only ones back from this roster. Al McCoy deserved better. The fans deserved better.

Shamet playing more mins than Booker and equal to Durant in a do or die game will be Monty's legacy.

Josh deserved better than that, especially with how he stepped up after the KD trade.

Jones should be feeling some heat too. He left the Suns without any depth after the Durant trade.

The Suns coaching staff cetrainly didn't get all they could have offensively out of Bridges when he was here, and I don;t think they're getting as much as they can out of Ayton either (and that's not excusing his sluggish play in far too many qames).

The Suns had great success in 2021-22 mostly because of other-worldly cruch time numbers by Paul and Booker. It turned out to be unsustainable, just like depending on Booker and Durant for 60-70 points a game in the playoffs.

Mike Malone lost his voice, so he's clearly he's outcoaching Monty.
After what Ty Lue was able to get out of his team missing Kawhi and PG-13, I think it's fair to raise an eyebrow at Monty's coaching ability with back to back years of non-competitive elimination games on the Suns homecourt.
The Clippers lost 4 games in a row and were eliminated. I don’t get why this is seen as a negative point against Monty.

It's not as bad as how it ended last year but not too far off.
Yeah? We jettisoned Mikal Bridges and committed to being a partner in building the Brooklyn Nets through 2030 in order to end the season the same way we did last year.

Sure, you can oversimplify it like that. But if you're going to play the bad circumstances card, I think you have to acknowledge the difference in the level of play the Lue got out of his team versus what Monty got.
