Overreacting like firing the most successful coach in 15 years after saddling him with a roster of fringe NBA players and losing to the eventual NBA champions?

The coach wasn't the most severe problem with this team, and Kevin Young isn't going to turn Ayton or Paul into something they're not.

Kevin Young is not going to work out for the Suns.

He's a place holder for someone better, but the thing is, the pool of better coaches becomes larger when the time comes for him to be replaced.
Young will be a good place holder until Ishbia can transition to Isiah Thomas.
Nah, Thomas will replace James Jones when Ishbia fires him for the Monty/Kevin Young mistake.

This I could see…I think we might be feeling out the Lue stuff and willing to stick with Young if Lue can’t get out of his deal.

We don't have the window to wait and see.... Our window is closing fast and wasting a whole year is not acceptable.

Well what is your alternative? I’m saying they have Lue 1st but he’s not available currently so they take their 2nd option.

Exactly. It's hard to take title expectations seriously with a rookie head coach. It's happened before, but those teams had generational players in their prime and/or tremendous breaks to win the title.

Let's see how the off-season plays out before people start jumping off the cliff and labeling Ishbia a crud owner. A lot of overeating going on.
I'll admit I did have quite a bit of food for Memorial Day.

How are we all wrong? We all think it's Young.

The way some have been talking, you'd think we were coming off three 24 win seasons.

I'm a bit concerned we tried to go big time, make a splash and steal Lue from the Clips only to get denied.

This is kinda exactly why I wasn’t fully on board with firing Monty…it’s one thing to want a new coach, but coaches don’t really move around like players. You either get one that’s been fired or you try a brand new one. Neither are great options.

I get that Monty struggled going away from point-5 and incorporating KD, but I thought giving him an off-season was fair. We’ll see what happens, but the coaching search going the way it has was pretty foreseeable.

It wasn't that ..read the whole sentence...it's not Thomas he's holding the seat for...it's Lue...

Kinda torn. I think Rivers and Vogel have the experience and chops to keep the team afloat and in contention. They have the track record, regardless of how people feel about a guy like Rivers and his playoff record. Young has the familiarity with the org and is well regarded for his Xs and Os and player relationships. I'm wondering if we may be trying to ride the fence hiring Rivers or Vogel while keeping Young in the loop (and maybe Gates?), thinking it'll be the best of both worlds but I'm not sure that's the healthiest of situations for a coaching staff.

OK, read the room. That was a joke. Wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

Yeah, it's kind of weird to entrust a championship contender to somebody so...young. I'd probably be more comfortable with Vogel but I'm thinking it will be Young since so many have brought up his name. I thought it was weird that Doris Burke of all people went straight to Young when asked about the Suns coaching position. Seems like maybe she knows something too.

Or…perhaps the front office no longer considers us to be a championship contender?

This definitely makes the most sense.
