Meh, I’m just not gonna cry over cam Payne. This season is no different with him here.

Payne was good when starting. Even in the playoffs.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:35 pmWell I think they thought Jordan Goodwin would be better. They also didn’t expect to be missing 1 of Book or Beal for the first half of the season.
I still don’t think it’s some travesty, Payne wasn’t good last year. It was definitely a money move, no question, but I get saving 20+ million to get rid of a meh backup pg. We can talk about Ishbia saying there is no spending limit, but there obviously is…I’m fine if saving 20 million on a Cam Payne means he’s willing to spend 70 million on a Grayson
Good is a little bit of a stretch. But he had value. Part of the reason the Suns won those two games against Denver is because Payne's ability to push the pace was a plus. He didn't perform that well statistically. But just having a point guard pushing the ball instead of walking it up and dribbling a ton, gave the offense some life.
Okogie showed me last night that he should be playing. He should have never stopped starting. Remember that opening preseason game we keep going on and on about?TOO wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:11 pmI do think Lue is the best shot at getting the best out of this dumpster fire.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:08 pmYeah, I do think the chances are high that Lue comes here. But that is somewhat disappointing because it will mean that we're just running it back with the same group.Wally_West wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 7:46 pmClips gonna get waxed in 5 and Ty Lue will leave and go to Suns after Vogel is fired.
I'd be very interested to see his defense with the lack of defenders on the roster.
Spinning straw. As in a straw man.
It's really too bad that 5 or whatever years in he is that he still cant hit a shot consistently. What does he do all day?Superbone wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 2:52 pmOkogie showed me last night that he should be playing. He should have never stopped starting. Yep, and I do not get the love for Ty Lue. He has won one championship with a 31 year old Lebron, 23 year old Kyrie as well as a great complimentary cast including and in prime Kevin Love. He currently is getting schooled by Jason Kidd. Oops, we should have drafted Doncic.INFORMER wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:08 pmYeah, I do think the chances are high that Lue comes here. We need a 5 who can be a primary ball handler and finisher at the rim or stretch the floor. Lol.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 6:49 amWe need to go 5 out with the shot creators we have. They need more space. The offense works when we go small. Attaching our 2024 1st to Nurk for a stretch 5 on draft night would help. I don’t know if there is a stretch 5 in the draft.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 5:35 amThe first action of every offensive set is easily denied by a defender resulting in what looks like a risky pass. Then the second action looks worse. It’s not supposed to be this hard. This isn’t just a wolves defense, it looked ugly all year.
He always has to deal with injuries to his star players with the Clippers. And they’re still tied 2-2. Like I’ve always said, best case scenario is the Clippers flame out again in the playoffs due to injuries and they let Lue leave.JustWinBaby wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2024 2:27 amYep, and I do not get the love for Ty Lue.
