Don't ever want him on our team.

He is an irritant. You need those kind of players at times, imo.

Suns start 3 of them.

Maybe my definition of an irritant is different than yours. I think Payne was that, until he decided he didn't want to be anymore.

July 8th, 2021. Suns go up 2-0 on the Bucks in the Finals. Life was good. My brother and I were at this game. I thought my lifelong dream of a Suns championship was finally happening. Little did I know that a week later, I would have a heart attack as the series was slipping out of our grasp.

I don't know if we're ever going to have a better chance at a title than that. Ever. It will always bother me.

I foolishly thought that us winning the first 2 games was a good sign.

...the Chris Paul special?

Yeah, I'm sick of all the Durant talk. Shit or get off the pot. I'm going to assume we're not getting a superstar to join us.

Washington Jr. is going to put us over the top. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I tried to ask this before, I'll try again...assuming we zero out on KD as it appears...and I think many feel the same, that without some juggling of the mix we're looking at the question of where we land this season.

a. Ayton...ok, some bag on the idea of him as a PF. I'm going to ask the obvious question...wtf not TRY it in some stretches? I mean, I know we all like to talk like we know everything and we all have a crystal ball, but wtf...give it a few college tries! If it doesn't work, fine...but if he's wanted to make that effort, if it MOTIVATES him and we get more productivity out of him in the process, even if its split time, what is the harm?
b. Why to consider. To me, IF it were successful..I'm not saying it will be, I'm saying if...it opens up as the frontcourt player to court not just on the PF side but also at Center. Anybody we pursue isn't going to be a blue chip, but we want a strong defensive presence in there at the least. So, with target pool opened up at least a little bit...is there anything that stands out here? Maybe? Possibly? I mean, talking about nonexistent KD trade option #305 aside, ya'll are supposed to be mindful and insightful...think outside the box for 2 minutes and see what you think.
c. Ok, which leaves the last point. To me if I'm going to blow capital on some other blue chip player, vs. worrying about PF...maybe we need to think harder about PG. If we're not chasing KD, whom might we go after on the PG side to truly shore that up? Cam Johnson and picks or...tbd. Again, outside the box thinking here...anyone worth while?

Just kicking tires...if wishing in one hand is the only game in town, okee...but would think this isn't utterly crazy to consider...

All the benefits you get from Ayton playing the 5 against other 5s disappear (or at least most of them) if he is playing the 4 against other 4s.

Forget Ayton at PF. That is a totally ridiculous take, I'm sorry. If he had an aggressive bone in his body it might be different but he doesn't. Just stop with that nonsense.
