To me it depends on if we need better scoring or better rebounding and defense. No question that TJ is far and away better at scoring. But he doesn't defend or rebound. I think Jackson can be good at both, but I know he is far away from being that right now. To me it is a gamble, but if I had to choose between JJ and TJ being a better fit in the future, I think JJ has a better chance to be what we need next to Booker than TJ.

All of this is assuming we are looking at 2 years from now to be competing for a playoff spot.
So we can agree that Warren is good at scoring relative to NBA talent. What does Josh Jackson do that's good currently? We want to trade away a known commodity for something that could be that's not showing right now? I'm not impressed with JJs defense nor his rebounding, he's only averaging .1 more than Warren this year.
Jackson and Oubre should be moved to acquire a PF and PG. The SF spot belongs to Warren and Bridges and you can find a veteran next summer to be the third guy in that rotation.

that trade for oubre still doesnt make any sense.

originally, james jones was going to help lebron by trading ariza to the lakers right? sarver intervened to stop this. then we found out a 3 team trade fell apart, and phx, being impatient, dealt ariza to the wiz directly.

james jones' default position is to always help the lakers first.
I do think James Jones wouldn't mind helping Lebron and the Lakers. I think you're right that Sarver intervened to stop an Ariza trade to the Lakers, but I worry that in the pursuit of Lonzo Ball, Sarver will get talked into giving up too many/valuable assets like our own 1st round pick.
lebron doesnt need lonzo, lonzo is not a good fit with lebron. lebron knows lonzo would be better off going to phx. i'd give josh jackson, oubre, the mil pick for Ball.

I wonder if he has the worst 3P% of anyone ever competing. He is shooting 32.4% this year. I bet all other guys in the contest are much higher.

There are 143 guys that have qualified for the 3P% leader board this year. Devin is 133rd. I hope his hammy is better.

I hope he doesn’t pull a hammy in the contest.

WTF do we need another 2 guard? Much less one that is making $20/year?

What the shit are they doing? Only makes sense if it's for Ryan Anderson.

This is weird. Hard to see how this makes sense unless Ryan Anderson is in the deal. Johnson is fine as a basketball player, he’s not a pg though, and has a 19 mil player option next year that he’ll definitely pick up. Pretty stupid If we just blew our cap space on Tyler Johnson.

It’s kinda a meh move if it’s just Anderson for Tyler Johnson. Miami can waive Anderson and save 4 million next year. We add 4 million next season for someone who can at least play basketball still.

Tyler Johnson! It's about time we made a big move. Finally. I can lay off my Sarver hate.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Look at all the extra space in his mouth he can use to suck up our cap space. NICE.

It would be nice to make a move that wasn’t underwhelming or worse
