I would have never expected that much for Lowry. Crazy!

Marc Spears took back the "$14M offer" story. Said he was duped.

Does Marc Spears ever get anything right?

Interesting article, a little bit simplistic, but his concept on "Excess value" as a starting point comes to complement the eternal debate among, draft vs free agency. Altough, putting it all together, this guide would take teams into be trapped on a negative cicle drafting and letting go mid level players until some sort of "Mesiah" arrives via draft.

I meant I've been expecting Bledsoe to get the max.

I wouldn't have expected 14,5M but the 10-12 range is not crazy at all considering the way he played after being almost traded and how the Raptors made the playoffs with the most wins in the history of the franchise, which gave new life to their fanbase. Allegedly having more suitors willing to spend big time doesn't hurt his case either, of course.

Kyrie Irving agrees to 5 yr MAX with the Cavs. Nice to see them keep someone decent.

A fake superstar in my book, but Cleveland couldn't afford to mess with him. At least this way the can get something out of him when he forces his way to the Lakers in two years.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he could do with some good coaching.

First Afflalo and now Nelson. The Magic want nothing to do with vets.

Far as Nelson is concerned, I think it's about 8-9 years late.

Heat want Deng but he's not looking to take a significant discount to sign there. Same for Lowry. Good for both of them, especially Deng, at 29 this is the last decent contract he'll see.

I can imagine Riley and his face getting red, veins bulging out screaming at them to take less because they shouldn't be pussies to try to win a title in frustration.

I think the worse things go for the Heat, the better our chances?

Riley shot too high on Deng. He should go after Ed Davis, Chris Kaman, McRoberts, Jameer Nelson, and some swingmen like Tucker, Alan Anderson, Marvin Williams.

Its certainly not hurting our chances. As for those guys you mentioned, none of them realky offer an upgrade to what the Heat previously had. This whole LeBron pursuit may just get interesting after all.

Bosh/Wade looking at taking 10-12M per each, giving the Heat a potential 12M in cap room.

Well there is no way in hell Chris Bosh takes such a cheap contract without assurance LBJ is coming back.
