Grayson started in the GLeague? Didn't know that.
Jazz drafted him in the 1st round…but I guess they might have sent him to the g league first.

He seemed like the perfect Jazz player but he didn't last long there.

Yeah I just thought it was odd for a first rounder to go there. Seems a bit more prevalent now

Being a good shooter and a little dirty also helps.

Funny how few All-NBA players are left in the playoffs. IMO this pace and space era really rewards team play.

Suns trade: 2024 #22 pick; 2031 1st round pick; cash considerations
Suns receive: Team play

I wonder if we're going to get the G-League Ignite players that are still under contract, or how they're going to set up the initial players for the Valley Suns?

The original Suns, I believe, got to pick from a pool of players that were made available from the other teams at the time. Each team could only protect so many. That's how we got the original Sun, Dick Van Arsdale. He came from the Knicks.

A history lesson for some of you youngins:

Magic get hosed in that deal, CP3s corpse and a redundant SG who can't shoot, woof. Doesn't make the Suns any better, but at least they'd have some draft capital. KD is still worth more than that imo, even at 35.

Suns and warriors literally can’t trade with eachother since both are 2nd apron teams…only way to do it is to have two players with the exact same salary.

I don't really think so. Old man Chris Paul and GP2 are better than anything they'd be losing unless you think Jett Howard will be better than a back-end rotation player someday.

But...

yeah. I guess knowing the restrictions isn't a requirement for pumping out this type of content.

“We are excited for Mullett Arena to be the home of the Valley Suns,” said Mullett Arena general manager Amber Musgrave. “We are dedicated to creating memorable experiences for the community and look forward to extending the ‘Mullett Magic’ beyond our Sun Devil Athletic events, concerts, comedy and family shows to now include the Valley Suns.”

“The Valley Suns is the community’s team and will provide fans an energetic and family-friendly atmosphere while developing aspiring talent on and off the court,” Bartelstein said. “We’re excited to launch the new G League team with a name and identity chosen by our fans and inspired by the unique desert landscape that we call home.”
I didn't realize how clever that logo was at first look. It's got the the 'S', 'U', and 'N' in it. S in the middle to represent the beginning and the end.
