You don't have to jump when you're 7'7"!
I think his release point was higher than the rim, even with his feet flat on the floor.

There's always room for big tall guys that can shoot, right? The problem with him from what I saw is being able to defend. Too slow to defend PFs so he'll have to defend C's. If he can get strong enough to do that and shoot I think there's a place in the NBA for a guy like that, but odds are slim.

Probably not, but let's see how he plays in the summer league.

I don't think Alec Brown is an NBA player. Sorry.

I met his brother this summer. Said he did well in Spain, and his shoulder is fine. He's looking forward to the summer league. His brother is an assistant coach for the boys basketball team at Sandra Day O'Conner High School.

How does this all work with Brown contract wise? As in if he is not on our NBA roster, how long is he tied to the Suns?

Cool. I'm hoping him and Alan Williams impress.

I like Williams, dude is relentless on the boards. We need guys like that deep in the rotation.

Plus he's a Phoenix kid. I hope he does well and can make the roster.

How are Simmons and Brown looking?

I got in to late but Simmons only had 10 points on 2-9 shooting. Christian Wood scored 20 on 7-9.

Brown was 2-7 for 17 points because he attempted 17FTs. Only hit 11.

Everytime I see brown I see Corey Maggette and this game backs that up. His biggest attribute is his ability to draw fouls. I guess a bigger Archie is another good comp.

At very best, Alec Brown might become Dan Langhi. Maybe. And that is not much of a ceiling.

Of the players who the Suns didn't draft or haven,t already been on their roster I would guess Kuric might have the best chance of making the team. He's certainly the most interesting story -

I loved Kuric at Louisville; fun player to watch. I also like Shannon Scott: pure point guard ability and defensive ability too. I'm interested to see how Alan Williams play. Troy Williams has nice potential, but may need some time overseas to develop his skill level.

May be time to stick a fork in my guy Alec Brown.
About what time did you finally lose hope with Janning? I remember that was your boy for a long time.
