Ty Lue could have called a timeout also. A lot of brainfarts!

Lebron was such a machine tonight. Scary good. Must be really depressing for him that he played a game like that and they still lost. What does he have to get, 60 every night for them to win?

I fully expected the Warriors to blow the doors off the Cavs.
This game doesn’t quite constitute “blowing the doors off,” though I agree the Warriors are likely to win.
I guess I could've elaborated more, I didn't expect it to be this close, impressed by the Cavs. I didn't think they had it in them.
So close. Too bad JR Smith didn't know the score at the end of regulation. Should have had a shot at the win. Hated the charging call reversal as well. Can the Cavs do it again in game 2?

I agree. I don't blame LeBron from walking out on that idiot that just wouldn't let it go.

Incredible. JR's dumbness could very well have costed LeBron a title. 51 points and his teammate does this. Beyond words. How can a player be so oblivious, so stupid. It would he hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

I once made a shot in my opponents basket after a missed free throw. But I was like 9 years old.

JR gonna JR. He's a knucklehead, always has been and always will be. Somehow he gets a pass tho.

That was probably the Cavs' best shot at winning a game right?

Most likely; though I’m sure there will be home cooking at one of their home games.

What’s the general board consensus on Kevin Love? I saw, and still continue to see, empty basketball from him; meaningless stats that don’t contribute to winning PLAYOFF basketball.

I know many here want him, but for what would be required to trade for him, I’m a big no thank you.

Fast forward to 3:06.

Or 2:33 if you want to see another JR Smith booboo.

I'm still high on KLove and think he could be the kind of vet we need. The Cavs have made him into Channing Frye. He's a monster post player who never had help in Minny and is a jump shooter in Cleveland. Put him in the post, play a little inside-out to open things up for Booker and Jackson and then let him float and play some pick and pop.

Somehow I doubt even LeBron James can keep contributing 51/8/8. He’s carrying teammates who, for the most part, don’t belong there. He can’t beat the Warriors without help.

JR Smith clearly didn't know the score, but Lue deserves a lot of blame as well. During the free throw, he should have been yelling the score and time out situation, and making sure everyone knew. With only that much time left, and knowing that a veteran is going to the line, I think I would have called a timeout before the shots to set up defense, make sure everyone knew the score, all that sort of thing.

Would have been a different game if Love or Green could have hit a 3 pointer.

It's a slippery slope when you start using replays to change judgement calls. This was bound to occur at some point, and unfortunately it occurred at the worst time possible.

If you're going to use replay for things like the restricted area, goal tending and out-of-bounds calls in the last two minutes, fine. Flagrant fouls and breakaway fouls, fine. But I think you have to go with the call made on the court once you've determined that he was positioned outside the restricted area.

Also, interesting thing to keep an eye on, Kevin Love took a step or two onto the court during that little skirmish at the end
