Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Hadn't seen this posted anywhere but this is the risk you take with this guy-
Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Yeah, I think we can safely cross him off any future chance of being a Sun.

Is Taylor Griffin available?
Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Quite sure he is. Might have put some weight on since the last time we saw him.

Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
I would love to get Kyle Kuzma here.
Suns get: Kyle Kuzma, Quinn Cook, DeMarcus Cousins (waive), Kent Bazemore (expiring contract)
Lakers get: Ricky Rubio, Aron Baynes, Dario Saric, Jevon Carter
Portland gets: Danny Green

That wouldn't be bad if the Suns were still in tank mode and wanted to be back in position to have the worst PG rotation in the league.

I'd take the temporary step back at the PG position to add a potential core piece in Kuzma.

Okabo hasn't been half bad. Rubio isn't the answer, he's not even close to being the answer.

I’d actually be pretty happy with this if we could also get some draft picks but pretty sure the lakers don’t have any until 2031.

I don’t get why Lakers would do that when they have Rondo.

Rondo is fucking horrible and the lakers need to get away from him as soon as possible. Seriously. My goldfish would be more useful to them. My goldfish sucks too.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 9:54 pmI don’t get why Lakers would do that when they have Rondo.

Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
I'd also add that this trade makes absolutely zero sense for the Lakers.
They give up their best trade piece and best role playing shooters for three guys who can't really shoot and a third string center.

I don't like that trade at all. Kuzma's not what we're missing. Not even close.

Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
What are we missing? A PG, backup SG starting SF, starting PF, backup PF?
This team is a collection of duds. Where to even begin. I think I need a break from these guys. Tired of the same shit every year without any progress
Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
You, Saucy, would particularly hate Kuzma. He's like Kelly Oubre in that he really cares about his image, but he somehow passes less. He also doesn't defend and he's not the 3 point shooter he thinks he is. Basically, he's a worse version of Oubre.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 12:06 amWhat are we missing? Sorry, didn’t mean that I wanted Kuzma. Just that this team is so broken, don’t even know where to start with regards to trades. I just think this roster needs an overhaul. We’re not making progress.Shabazz wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 12:28 amYou, Saucy, would particularly hate Kuzma. Re: Around the League: Week 10 12/30-1/5
Being drafted by the Lakers is both the best and worst thing that has happened to Kuzma. It was great for him because he was at the end of the Kobe run and Kobe liked Kuzma because Kuzma worshiped Kobe. That endeared him to the Lakers fans to the point that he was being touted as a future MVP by the nuttier ones.
The down side is that he actually thinks he is at least an all-star level player, when he's clearly just a slightly bigger Kelly Oubre. He's good when he's on, but he's wildly inconsistent on both sides of the court.
