It’s a big thing among the Suns Twitter guys. He’s never hit 7 3s in a game. He can have 6 midway through the 2nd quarter. Won’t matter. He’ll either miss all the rest of his 3s or not take any more.

I think Kris Hanson posted a stat that something he’s like 0-25 after getting his 6th.

Interesting. I had no idea.

6 of 8 from 3 tonight for Booker. Not bad.

Good win last night as it was (unfortunately) a closer, tougher win that we probably wanted. From the start of the game, we seemed just a half a step off. A half a step off on our plays, spacing wasn't quite right, some unforced TOs but the Rockets deserve credit for showing up from the jump and getting up into our chests and making us work for everything. I think KRay or EJ said later in the game that even tho the Rockets blew it up and aren't at full strength, this wasn't like the Thunder team full of 18-19 years old that we could out-execute and push around. Maybe we took them a little too lightly early on and gave them confidence but they also hit just about everything they looked at from 3.

Still, they had no answer for DA in the post as he had one of his best offensive games in a very long time, scoring in a bunch of different ways against different defenders. Feeding him seemed like part of the gameplan and it feels like Monty's been working up to this lately, as DA used to never get traditional post ups and has been used mainly as a screener. For all of his shortcomings, DA really has a great touch and hook around the basket so as long as he gets position and keeps things simple.

Book took over a few times, especially on his individual 10-0 scoring run. It's really amazing to see him just go to work and decide to score. I keep trying not to take for granted the fact that he can score at will and keep us in games or just take over and win them for us while acting like it's nothing. He's a stone cold killer, same as Kobe was when he decided to turn it on.

The rest of the starters played well but also played a lot of minutes as the bench - besides Cam Johnson - was non-existent. Bad Saric showed up again (does he ever get any whistles?), Craig is coming back down to earth and Payne was out there but not really doing too much. Their bench of Augustin, Kenyon Martin Jr, and Sterling Brown completely outplayed ours.

Even tho they're a "bad" team, this was a good battle for us and also let us work in crunch time and execute in late game situations.

Yes, it is hilarious. I was stupid enough to be convinced that he was finally going to break through last night. He was shooting lights out from 3, and it was a close game and he was going to score over 30 points. Seems like the perfect recipe. but nope.

Hey Monty - what happened to playing through Ayton?
He was awesome, but he also looked GASSSED about half way through the 4th.

So why doesn't Ayton do this stuff every game?
He doesn't usually have a couple inches and a couple stones over the opposing center that is stuck playing center because the team is a mess even though he is really a 4.

And he still looked much better than Saric did. The need a third option to play at center when Saric hasn't got it. Even having Cheick Diallo at the end of the bench would be an improvement over nothing.

They just used the #10 to draft this guy who happens to be a PF/C...

Seriously, they need to give him minutes, even if it is just 8-12. If he was not going to crack the rotation at all, might as well traded out of the draft.

I think they are really worried about Paul's health, and that is why they invested in 14 guards instead of a half-way decent end of the bench guy. I like Saric, but he can't bring it every night. Frank is an anomaly when he plays well.

Fair, but I am not sure crunch time in a meaningful season is the best way to develop him.

I still like Frank as an option but if Monty won't use him and we're only relying on DA and Dario, we're gonna get burned at some point.

Draft position is a silly reason to HAVE to play someone. He blows. The team will be hurt by him being on the floor. This ain’t your 2018 Suns anymore.

I think Kaminsky should get more minutes once he is able to be back on the court. He's inconsistent, but he gives us another big man option. All of Ayton, Saric, and Kaminsky are inconsistent in their own way. On a given night it's good to throw each one of them out there to see whether they've "got it" that night or not.

Jalen Smith doesn't make a positive contribution at this point. I want him to succeed, but it seems (due to a variety of factors, some of which are out of his control and not his fault) he is not ready to do so yet.

I wish we had one more reliable big, and it does seem like we loaded up on backup guards and we can't find playing time for all of them (Galloway, Moore, Carter, Payne, Alexander, ...). I think it would have been prudent to dump at least one of these guys in exchange for a backup PF/C. But oh well. Our roster is deep and talented, and no team's composition is perfect. Overall James Jones and the FO have done a very good job assembling the roster.

Well, the Jazz were 35-11 four games ago. 38-12 now.

Agree with all of this and especially the bolded part. Frank's not a real answer, but he was keeping the ball moving in the offense and was finally hitting his 3s.

???

His last 6 games he didn't hit any. If you go back 10 games, he is 4 for 14.

He has a really good percentage on the year (over 40%) but not really recently. He regressed quite a bit, and only took 2 3FGAs in his last 75 minutes of game time.
