Why can’t anyone hit free throws!

That Ayton offensive foul feels like a makeup call for the Paul swing through. The Steph and one called on Payne was bad.

18 more fta for us in the first half. Making up for some really poor shooting. Payne and Ayton the main culprits on bad shooting. Still, only down 3 at the half thanks to the free throws. Shamet is 3 for 3 from 3. Might wanna get him more looks.

Halftime. Thank goodness Bridges's injury isn't serious. Great to see him back out there.

I loved that we have been feeding Ayton so much. That's our best advantage against them; they really have no good answer for him when he gets good inside position.

I'm pretty happy with how Shamet is playing in his expanded starting role so far. Good on him for rising to the challenge. He can't guard Curry, but he shouldn't be expected to. I'm also pleased with the overall toughness Crowder is showing tonight. You can tell he's been in some battles.

Our bench isn't really giving us anything. That is to be expected in a road game, but I wish Payne or Cam Johnson or somebody could snap out of it and make some shots.

Choppy 1st half not unlike some other games where we're figuring things out for the 2nd half. Still, some sloppy play, funny bounces, and not a lot of margin for error without Book and a banged up Mikal plus playing on a B2B. DA's gotta be better inside/closer to the basket. Landry's gotta keep making shots, Payne's gotta starting making any of his shots. The Ws are doing a good job swarming CP with bigger defenders to mess up the PnR and get the ball out of his hands. They're not shooting particularly well, but we're shooting worse and are only down 3. Poole is 1-7 and Steph is 5-13 so the defense is working.

That's where Cam P also comes in cause CP3 will have to sit. As I mentioned last night, when yung fella gets hot he is fun to watch but sometimes that leads to quick shots and possessions where nobody else touched the ball. Those can be dangerous because again, if he misses and the Warriors get out on the break afterwards those sequences can lead to quick 6 or 7-0 runs.

Limit turnovers, DA n JaVale big boy em again and let's see how things shake out
Sigh
No surprise Mark Jackson as a former point guard highlighted that Cam needs to be more of a facilitator when CP3 sits. If his shot was off but he had still set up some of the guys it would be fine but his main guy JaVale not in the game and he hasn't created looks for anyone else.

DA is forcing some stuff but I actually appreciate dude trying to step up and take pressure off CP3. He isn't shying away from the moment, just can't let Draymond force him far out

Shout out the guys tho
Showing some resilience hanging in there

Helluva dunk by Tuscano Anderson but I'm fairly annoyed by all the impact he had in the first half lol

First half offense was discombobulated partially because of how they attacked CP3 and partially because of Mikal’s injury taking us out of our rotation. I feel like Ayton tried to put the offense on his shoulders which is admirable but as FF said he doesn’t have the reps to be efficient in that role. He’s more of a flow guy.

Let’s hit some free throws and protect our defensive backboard. If we can increase that turnover margin we have a chance to claw back. Warriors are substantially positive in the third. Let’s match their effort and be more disciplined in the second please.

I thought he did…I guess that little hand on Crowder is the foul. Suns have had a friendly whistle tonight I think.

3 straight 3s for GS have pushed it to 11. Rotations need to be tighter. Ayton was 20 feet from that screen and Poole had as long as he wanted to shoot. Previous 3 had Crowder defending 2 guys even though all our guys were back on D.

If Payne can get anything going heading into the 4th we can make a run. McGee struggling too on his tip ins and holding onto the ball in traffic. They've done a good job on the Payne/McGee PnR. We're still right there, just need some 3s to go down. Curry's got six 3s, the Suns have five total. Paul seems fired up and doesn't want to lose, but more than one guy needs to step up.

These Warriors are so fucking annoying. Bunch of nobodies trying to piggy back on Curry watching him showboat and think they’ve accomplished enough to be able to do the same.

That behind the legs pass attempt by Toscano was classic trying to do too much. You’re an absolute loser. And Jordan Poole thinks he’s arrived the way he acts after he makes a single shot. You guys are a bunch of nobodies.
