What stopped them? The 5 assists?

Only three Suns players have ever gone 20/5/5 in a season. One of them’s a gimme, although maybe a little surprising he only did it once. The other two I thought were pretty out of left field. Anyone care to guess?

Booker ended up like .1 assists short I think this year. Did he do it another year? Kidd probably never had the points.

I’d guess Barkley, Bledsoe? And KJ? Not sure those guys had the rebounds but can’t think of someone else. Maybe Alvin Adams? Did he score enough? CP3 probably got close but probably didn’t get the rebounds.

Did I get any? Haha

Before you said out of left field, I would have guessed:

Adams, Barkley, Westy

But after you said that, my guesses are:

Adams, Manning, Davis

I'm thinking Langhi, Llamas, and Tabuse?

Miles Bridges is deserving of a max contract and I think he'd be a target before Ayton for most teams.

Barkley, Hornacek and ... Gail Goodrich.

Stumpy was a surprise... I thought it might be his teammate, Dick Van Arsdale.

I wouldn’t pay him the max. He’s more of a Tobias Harris level guy for me, and I think the Sixers would like a mulligan on that one.

I have to disagree with that comparison. Harris' biggest issue as a max player is that he disappears from games. I don't see that as being an issue for Bridges, he's consistently aggressive and wants to make plays in crunch time.

Bridges still needs to shoot better, but he'll be All-NBA if he does it. I see Paul George upside with him right now.

Thanks Laz - I intended to get back with the answer but got caught up in stuff tonight. I was surprised about Hornacek - his final season with the Suns, before he became the centerpiece of the Barkley trade, was really good. That 20/5/5, nearly 50/40/90 (he fell short only on free throws, close to 89%, but his 3-point volume was fairly low at 1 make per 2.3 attempts per game). I guess there's a reason why he was a starter and played big minutes on conference championship-level teams in Utah. He was damn good.

Re Hornacek: He was the 22nd pick in the second round (46th overall) of the 1986 NBA draft, by the Phoenix Suns. The 46th pick had made its way to several teams before finally ending up with the Suns. First, the Los Angeles Lakers packaged it in the deal to acquire Byron Scott from the San Diego Clippers before the 1983–84 season. A week later, the Clippers sent the pick to the Detroit Pistons in a deal to acquire Ricky Pierce, and on that same day, the Pistons dealt the pick to the Suns for David Thirdkill. (Thirdkill was a former first round choice by the Suns who underwhelmed, later being nicknamed "ThirdWorld" when he played for Detroit ...)

I should have guessed Jeff. I was so upset he was included in the Barkley deal. I know that sounds stupid now because we got a finals appearance out of it, but we really only got that 1 good year out of Charles, maybe 1.5.

Checked the Google doc keeping track of end of season awards…

Booker is still solidly looking like 1st Team All-NBA, CP3 3rd Team. Book also slightly ahead of Luka for 4th in MVP

Monty was up to 17 1st place votes to Jenkins 9, think he’s got that locked up.

Looks like Smart will win DPOY, Mikal is hanging in there in 2nd though.

Cam Johnson looks pretty solidly to get 3rd in 6MOY

Then with this logic she obviously voted for Monty as COY and Book as MVP right? Right!?

No, she definitely did not.

I'm starting question what is even real at this point.
