22/41 from 3. Just unbelievable.

This is what happens when you shop for your bench players in the bargain bin over the summer.

24/43

Are they close to the nba record?

Just checked and Milwaukee hit 29 in a game last year, so not that close

Payne getting a few things going. That’s good to see. Are we actually gonna lose though? Have any of these NBL teams beaten an nba team before?
No: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBLxNBA

One embarrassment (game 7) followed up by another.

I don't think it can be overstated how bad most of the bench players looked tonight.

If the bench guards are Lee, Shamet and Okogie they're going to have problems.

Only 12 franchises have hit more 3s in a game than Adelaide just did. Crazy shooting performance.

Kinda funny, but I wouldn’t call it embarrassing. It’s a preseason game that meant nothing to us. Monty didn’t care about rotations. Just wanted to let the 1st unit get time together and left the bench out to dry. Not to mention a major outlier shooting performance. A loss here really means nothing. Kinda fun for Adelaide to be honest.

Pretty dumb that we lost BUT I wouldn't panic...yet. That team would have beaten just about any team in the league tonight. As Eddie said most of those threes were contested. Some several feet behind the line. Kinda glad it happened this way in a game that didn't count. A loss like this should wake this team up.

Starters looked fine. Bench has a lot of things to figure out. It'll be very important to get a decent player back for Crowder.

Guessing the next game the opponent won't hit 24 threes.

They also let them shoot 58% on 2's, so it wasn't all just guys getting hot from 3.

Riots and looting in the streets in Adelaide tomorrow.

Our bench sucks. Shamet cannot be relied upon as usual. I don't mind that we lost, but to have the bench put up such a pathetic showing is genuinely worrying.

Also: the era of Cam Johnson as starter is off to a helluva start!

The starters were fine, +11 minutes in 22 minutes. That’s a 24 point win pace. Bench was -21 in 26 minutes…that’s nearly a 40 point loss pace.

Starters looked fine. Ayton playing angry is what I've begged for since he got here. Getting so little from Shamet and Craig needs to be addressed. Immediately only 3 more preseason games. Find a way to better better by moving Crowder, Craig, and Shamet.

I hope it wakes up James Jones and makes him realize that he has to improve the bench dramatically. We moved our best bench player to the starting lineup and we have no depth.

Trade Crowder, Shamet, Craig for Kevin Love. Thank you.

I would be fine with that, but we would still need a guard as well.

It's like the D'Antoni years all over again. A good starting five, but zero depth.

I was at the game tonight, sat row 6. We are in deep trouble this year, our bench is total trash. I would trade the starting 5 of the Australian team for our bench in a heartbeat.

That Shamet transaction is looking really bad right about now. I'm still waiting for Cam Johnson to wake back up.

Good news is bridges looked really good. He looks like he's going to have a good year for us.

I'll echo the concerns about the bench. I still can't believe the way James Jones slept through this offseason. Inexcusable after the way our last season ended. Hopefully this is a bit of a kick in the pants that the need we've had since the beginning of last season still needs to be addressed.

We will get Dario and Okogie back, but some of these bench lineups are really sub-optimal. If Payne and Shamet are not threats from deep, it'll be really hard for any lineup featuring 2 of Craig/Okogie/Biz to generate offense.

Things I'd like to see in our rotation this season:
More Landale, less Biz
More Ish, less Torrey
More D-Wash, less D-Lee*
More 3s, fewer 2s

*I also like TLC more than D-Lee
