Nurkic proving +/- can work in your favor even when a zero in the stat line.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Suns playing really well with KD on the bench. We were roughly tied to start the 2nd quarter, and now we're up 46-34 due to guys like Okogie, Gordon, and Yuta. Eubanks also giving his typical efficient helpful minutes. I like what I'm seeing for the most part.

Nurk just got the weakest tech I've ever seen.

I think Eric Gordon has emerged as our 4th best player. Do you agree / disagree? If it weren't him, you could make the case for Okogie, Allen, maybe Nurkic. But EG has been more consistent than those guys, IMO. His scoring and ability to generate offense has been really helpful.

Really good to see the bench rebound from a pretty poor showing last night.

Awww man
Good quarter for the bench unit which been long overdue

Now we can't get back the right mix of ball movement vs Iso with KD back on

KD pretty good, hoping he stays healthy when everyone else gets back.

Just not good shot selection
It's bordering on a Summer League game, everyone in a hurry when they get the ball

EG showed early in the quarter that with some patience n probing
Driving lanes were opening

You can see the bones here of what our team is going to be. We have a lot of talented guys who can contribute, but if both Book and Beal are out, it isn't really reasonable to expect KD to run an offense and also score 30+ points and play good defense on the other end. It's too much of a burden. You can see the other guys standing around on offense and the flow isn't right. When our starting lineup is intact again it's going to be so much cleaner and better. And our bench really is scary good as long as they ARE a bench and not thrust into starting / larger roles than they can handle.

Definitely a weird half, feels like a 3pm Sunday game. Pistons play hard, have a lot of active bodies and were solid for the most part but KD, EG and Allen were able to carry the offense in the 1st half. Okogie played well off the bench with his hustle; kinda feels like the Pistons have 5 different Okogies at different positions but not sure that's a recipe for success at this point. Eubanks with good minutes again, Goodwin was a little rough. We're just getting everything on drives, only 3-10 from 3 so far. Shooting percentages for both teams are identical.

Yea this is the kind of team the superstars try to avoid playing on nowadays. It used to be one superstar with some decent sidekicks/roleplayers but they've wised up and know it's not fair to have one guy do it every single night and then take the brunt of the criticism when they fall short.

I’m at halftime. Okogie is amazing, man. There was one play that the Suns broadcast didn’t even mention where he had an amazing save diving out of bounds on the defensive end leading to a fast break basket. Proud of the bench so far, they extended the lead. Unfortunately, they lost half of it when KD returned as they stopped playing good basketball and just went to KD isos.

I was going to go to the game today but we have a big cutover today and I'm oncall starting in an hour. So I get to watch on TV instead. LP is blacked out so I get to listen on Bally. I hate the Detroit play caller. His voice is so annoying and I'm stuck between wanting to scream or getting put to sleep.
Yeah, that guy is no fun.

For the Pistons broadcast during breaks they are talking bout the bad boys and keep having a banner that says Dee-troit basketball. I keep seeing it as Deep-throat basketball.

Sasser has impressed me with his three point shooting.

And what’s the deal with Jalen Rose standing on the sideline all game long and acting like a coach? I’d be pissed if I had a seat behind him.
