I saw one that was like "The 'cold weather' " and a picture of him shirtless with his porn girlfriend. LOL.

Many years ago I was staying in a hotel in Warsaw Ind and needed to drive across the state for the next gig. The roads were covered in ice. I made it less than a mile and turned around and went back. Icy roads can be impossible to dive on and super dangerous.

I actually think DA deserves some grace on this one. I live in Seattle and when it gets snowy and icy it can be completely unsafe to be out there. We're in the midst of a cold front right now. I trust that Ayton would have gone to the game if he could have. I like shitting on him as much as the next guy, but this seems like a legit reason to miss the game.

It’s probably legit, but of course it happened to him.

It's completely legitimate but also very Ayton.

He's not the only Blazer that lives in the West Hills of Portland, but he's the only one who was unable to make it to work.

When I was a freshman in college in ND, I had to work on Christmas eve and afterward I was supposed to go to my relatives house about 60 miles away. Of course, there was a blizzard that day, and I drove slowly on the I-94 without a lot of other people on the road(it's North Dakota). I got about 10 miles out of town and was driving on a stretch of the interstate that had a slight rise. My Ford LTD(heavy front engine and rear wheel drive) started moving towards the median. I tried to correct without over correcting and I ended up doing a 180 on the interstate and into the ditch. The ice was brutal and you couldn't see it. Luckily, the next person driving by me stopped and was heading in my direction and picked me up, while I abandoned the car(it was stuck). Ice sucks, so I'm giving Ayton a pass, but agree that this is such an Ayton story. Domin Skayton.

Jeremy has actually been very tame and gracious about DA this season. You guys are the ones who keep bringing him up and teasing DA / JG about it. Maybe you should make yourself an AI-generated avi of DA and yourself in the scene from Brokeback Mountain where you say to DA, "I wish I knew how to quit you..." :)

I agree 100% and think he's been a great sport about it lately.... This wasn't meant as anything mean spirited.. Stop assuming we're being dicks for once.

Here comes grandpa

Listen all I need is an acknowledgment that DA is not living up to the contract and the talk of him averaging 25/10 was silly. I’m sorry but when you talk the entire off-season a big talk in every thread, you’re going to have to answer to it when he lays an egg. It wasn’t just a small opinion expressed it was an all out attack on anything negative said about DA

Didn’t say anything personal or mean

Like I said before, I want to wait until the end of the season and see how things shake out. But obviously it hasn’t been a great start for him in Portland.

That’s fair. And of course I’m going to pour salt all the way until the end. And if he turns it around and has a dominant second half all of a sudden, I’ll hide. Duh.

Ayton made his ice delayed return tonight in a nice home win against the Pacers. Kind of weird that streamers came down after the win but none the less, a solid win over the Pacers on a night that Haliburton returned and Siakam made his debut.

I definitely don't miss this stuff from the biggest guy on the team.

He had 0 FT attempts again. He's 9th on the team in FTA per game. It's like he goes out of his way to avoid contact and physicality which causes him to miss so many shots near the rim.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

While I absolutely hate when Nurkic seems to seek out contact that causes him to miss easy layups, at least he draws fouls.

A post from Reddit r/suns that is full of wisdom:
So glad we dumped Ayton

I heard so many people say that Ayton had a chance to really blossom this year after the Suns fired Monty. That the coach held him back. That all he needed was a fresh start with a new coach. Then we would see aggressive and hustling Ayton.

Well he got a fresh start in Portland and he is the same Ayton. When people keep telling you who they are believe them.

I’m not here to bash but trading his $103 million 3 year max contract was so smart. Portland is stuck paying this guy $34 million a year for the next 3 years.

Look at his stats:

13 points per game. Career low

0.7 blocks. Career low. How can this guy average less blocks than 6’3” guards.

Gracen Allen is averaging the same amount of blocks as Ayton 😂

1.5 free throws a game. Career low. Absolutely pathetic that a center averages that few free throws. This literally means this guy is hardly ever attacking the rim.

Ayton is 9th on his team in free throws. Literally every starter and every rotation player has taken more free throws than him. This literally almost impossible to do in the NBA. Unless you are literally doing everything you can to avoid any contact.

Saben Lee playing less than 7 minutes a game is averaging more free throws a game than Ayton😂

56.7% TS. Career low. His least efficient scoring season ever.

The guy is just BAD. CP3 was spoon feeding this guy. Without an elite point guard drop him easy buckets he struggles. He is probably the worst max contract in the league.

Ayton is just BAD. And he is getting paid a Max contract.

Ayton $34 million

Nurk $17 million

Allen $9 million

Little $6 million

An absolute steal.

Domi-Ayton is probably the most farcical nickname ever.

Am I bitter? A bit. This dude basically forced the Suns to give him a max contract and then played lazy basketball for 2 years. Tanked his trade value so hard. Just lucky that Portland took a chance on him or we would be stuck with this guy
