Conversely, I think KD cares about basketball more than anything else and his two "best" teammates are part-time players.

Nothing is saying Kyrie is staying. He opted in to his 36M so he didn't lose it. But it allows the Nets to trade a guy that is now under contract and an expiring 36M deal and a guy likely playing for his last big contract. Very unlikely he will miss half the season or half-ass it.

I don't think that is true. I think they are currently working on deals and trying to line them up for July 1st.

To be clear, I am not pulling a Flex or saying that this will happen. I just don't believe that either is going to be in Brooklyn come training camp. Same for Ayton.

UFA's can do whatever they want before July 1st.

But yeah, Klutch probably worked with the Clippers to set it up in advance before the buyout. Not sure it really matters though.

If KD doesn’t demand a trade and is convinced to stay, his karma will be playing his ass off with two half ass teammates.

Also, I am not sure Kyrie is a James Jones guy.

And I don't think I would do Cam J straight up for him. He isn't worth the circus. Maybe Cam Payne.
