I'm trying so hard to talk myself into Chriss, but I'm struggling. Maybe his perceived lack of desire/focus is more of a confidence thing? He hasn't been playing basketball all that long, so maybe he really just doesn't even know what he's capable of. Maybe General Watson can steer him in the right direction.

See there I go, talking myself into it...

Well, this will be the test of McD as a drafter. Last year he agreed with us. We were right.

This year, it looks like he disagrees with us. Time will tell. If McD takes Chriss and he turns out to be a great player for us after we here at Phx-Suns.net pooh-poohed him, he will earn our respect.

Been trying to focus on the positives of drafting Chriss too but just having a hard time doing it. All the red flags that Chriss has are like the worst kind of red flags there are.

Don't overlook the fact that he played in the Pac-12 on a team that only made it to the NIT.

Chriss isn't a bad prospect, but he's not someone who should be picked fourth overall.

Don't know who this guy is but this would be a dream come true. Have no idea why the Wolves do this though.

I'm not sure what these red flags are everyone is talking about. He's a poor defensive rebounder and he fouls a lot. I wouldn't call those the worst kind of red flags.

Yes. Please. Makes a bit of sense with Thibodeau and his defense/toughness approach.

WOW

On one hand, Bledsoe has done ALL the right things. Been a great teammate, working hard all offseason, is a much better all around player than Rubio IMO. On the other hand, a pass first PG AND! the 5th pick in the draft!?

Way too good to be true.

Fair enough, in reality, this is just a weak draft in general. I hope we don't compare whoever we pick to porzingis from last year. The 4th pick this year is more like the 10-14 of last year.

Jaylen Brown is 3-8 this year while justise Winslow went 10th last year. Winslow was a better prospect in every way than jaylen.

Wow. Safe to say there wouldn't be many tears shed at Phx-Suns.net over the departure of Bledsoe and Tucker. That's a really nice haul. (Rubio, Peković, #5.) I think we'd all call it a good day, especially if it's also true that we're packaging 28 and 34 for Valentine.

Rubio, Pek, Chriss, Bender, Sabas/Skal, and Valentine? That's a good day, even if we don't like Chriss.

I think a lot of us would be fine grabbing Chriss later in the draft, but because there is this perceived value of the 4th pick being a real shot at a all-star type player, it's just hard to see it in him. But like you said, this is a weak draft and maybe it doesn't matter where anyone goes after 2.

Wow. I'd certainly do that trade., but who in the heck is Dan Cole?

I like all those guys, although I don't know that we have a spot for Dejuonte.

Ford switched us to bender on his final mock. I lean slightly Chriss, but I'm OK with bender.
