I really have no idea what to expect next Wednesday against the Mavs.
Suns lose by 30, the cameraman catches Mark Cuban looking smug with a crooked half-smile, Ayton receives not a single entry pass, and Doncic falls one rebound short of a triple-double, sending .net into an irrecoverable tailspin. We self-medicate with sarcasm, eventually overdosing.
So a pretty typical Wednesday, then?

if Canaan is our starting PG, we may as well just start the tanking today.
He's just the best we've got today. I think we make a move still. This week before the season starts will be interesting.

Do you guys think that their energy level seems to be tied to their shooting? When they shot well from the beginning of the GSW game, they had good energy throughout the game, but when they started off cold it translated to the defensive end too.

I predict that the Suns are waiting for the 1) the Butler trade and how that shakes out and 2) after the rosters are finalized and see who is let go(I'm looking at you Clippers). So, I think a move for a pg will happen shortly after those things happen and/or right before or after the season starts. I just don't see this waiting all the way to the trade deadline.

LOL. OK, that's a best case scenario. Worst case?

Suns win. .net can't contain themselves. Heads explode and we lose half of our user base.

Currently playing Shaq/Daniels/Reed/TJ/Chandler. The offense has come to a screeching halt.
That's a very flawed lineup on paper, and it becomes unplayable if, as happened, a) our perimeter defenders always go under screens; and b) they don't use TJ Warren right (which absolutely doesn't consist in having him camping outside the 3pt line waiting for a kick out).

The quarter ends ignominiously with a shot-clock violation.
That was amateur stuff.

Layman torched every forward we put 'in front of him', particularly Ariza. I don't care if it is preseason, someone needs to grab, shove or do whatever it takes.

The switching defense is not working. Swanigan is just abusing whoever is switched on to him in the post.

I also doubt Coach Koko's offense is dribble handoff then jack up a jumper 5 seconds into the shot clock.
Swanigan is pretty skilled and can play both inside and outside. If the Blazers don't use him when the season starts, we should look at ways to acquire him. Would love to pair him with Ayton. PF is still a real problem for this team.
We need another guy like Swanigan. He's young but his work ethic is contagious. He and Booker live in the gym. He'd win the Majerle hustle award every season on the team. Dude just wants it more than anyone.

We'll pick something off the waiver wire. There are a lot of teams with a ton of guys still on the roster that will have to go. I guess we can hope for Milos or somebody decent that way. It's going to take said person awhile to adjust to the offense and develop chemistry. Wish we would have made a move sooner for that very reason.

Clippers would laugh at that. For a star PG like Milos?? We'd need to add at least our unprotected first rounder and Jackson.

I’d seriously consider giving Ayton up for him if Milos would sign a long term max deal with us

The way he talks about him you'd probably have to throw in Booker.

Damn. That’s a lot to give up but I think you gotta do it if you’re serious about losing
